Looks about as it should, although a bit deceiving. 7 of those WR's are CPU's and 1 of the HB's is. Throw them out, and it's about even to WR's and HB's.

nice Deluca

top 20 players in average yards per catch for PWG:
13 WRs
6 HBs
1 TE

right...stoner...i get it now...HB passing is overpowered....because HBs are getting less yards per catch than WRs...

edit...saw stepside's post...wanted to add that all 20 of the top "average" yardages per catch were human players

has anybody thought to mention the HB catch domination (as some seem to consider it) could simply be how the QB is setting their tactics? If he has set to dump often, the HB/FB Will get more catches simply so the QB can avoid a sack? If he has set to open receiver all the way, it could see the HB and stop the progression and pass right away...Who are the favorite receivers...its more than just saying something is wrong because the HB's are getting more receptions. (imo if anybody cares)

It's not settings... it's just more successful so people are doing it (calling those plays and setting progressions accordingly).

you are still a moron trying to argue whether HB passing is overpowered, my point has and always will be that WR passing is underpowered... you've done nothing but prove me right in everything you have said.

End of story you can't argue with someone who is too stupid to read and see what it is you are arguing about.

I would still contend that it's not a matter of HB/FB Receiving being "overpowered", nor is it a matter of WR/TE Receiving being "underpowered". It's simply a matter of what DC's are giving you. Right now, most DC's are single covering HB/FB's and double covering WR/TE's. Switch that around, and you'd see much more passing to WR/TE and less to HB/FB. Was it "more realistic" when HB/FB we're completely incapable of catching a pass?

and you have yet to provide any data what so ever to support your point and you continue to attack my argument with anything but opinion.

hmmm...no data to support your point??? in stoner-land that means you're right. so the only option is to try to pretend that the other guy is stupid and not making sense....if you pretend long enough people might believe you...keep on smokin man

for everybody with a brain, let's recap what data has been presented:

We have already shown that WRs are dominating in everything but total stats per player. So WRs are absolutely not under powered in any way.

The rankings are biased a bit because they are based on total stats, which penalize positions with lots of depth (like WR) versus positions with less depth (HBs and FBs).

Stoner wants WRs getting 4-6x as many yards per catch as an HB gets (to make up for how many WRs are on a team relative to HBs), in essence he's asking for a TD on every WR catch or a massive nerf on the HB/FB game.

I obviously disagree. The sim is pretty balanced. If you are gonna mess with anything, fix the early-season/low-level defenders so they stop blowing tackles when the ball carrier is one dot away and they stop over-pursuing and running off the field.

There is a term for the type of fallacy that you are using... but I'll let you do the research on which one (mostly because I can't even remotely remember which one it is-obviously smoked that one away) essentially, choosing to include only statistics that support your point while ignoring all others only makes people think that what you are saying is true (hence: fallacy) but doesn't actually make it true.

WR passing is far too inconsistent even if perfectly scouted and while it is possible against bad defenses to put up good numbers (hence league stats) but lets look at the playoffs where good defenses play good offenses that scout for one another, and I'll show you what I've noticed this season... not by looking to league stats skewed by CPU teams and bad defenses ... but by actually watching the game and noting that what I've stated is indeed true, and what your saying is not entirely false... but doesn't actually counter my argument with its falsehoods removed.

That must be some really good shit you're smoking, because from the contact high alone I'm too stoned to follow you. Ha!
