Likely a bug.

Okay, we need some more info on this topic.

Need the build info of the TE: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4497443

It appears he's way too slow to block the CB on this play and the CB does a great job of breaking up the screen.

I don't see why every screen should always be a complete pass..

My guess is if the TE is fast enough (so we'd think) he's probably rocking streaky and slow starter and while failing his streaky roll, and the negative effects of Slow Starter (OP play was in 1st quarter) that he likely took a big hit to speed/agility and just couldn't make the play.

What do you think?

I take this as evidence that the screen pass does work?

Casual Basic Ai defense busts a WR screen up with ease, DE not even in passive at all.

Please don't tell me this is working as intended, there is 100% no way to improve this if a Basic Ai is busting this up before it even gets off.

Bug

Great examples.

Yes, I'm always confused when someone posts one fricking example of a play and makes a sweeping generalization that the play doesn't work. (Not that one example of it working is any better)

Ummm, if this is your only example you're making a very bad argument. To me it looks like the TE got in position to make the block but didn't have the blocking skill to hold it long enough to let the play develop. Or maybe your QB doesn't have the strength to make the throw. Could be lots of potential problems.

Working as intended

Seriously -- tell me why this could not have happened on this play:

The CB was blitzing from the get-go .. he jumps up and deflects the ball.

Solid defense IMHO -- and if you disagree with me, what we've seen here so far is no where near "proof", and certainly not enough evidence at this time to call this a bug.

Honestly, I dont think that is a bug. Looks like a CB making a play on it.

I am going to start it thru the process and mark it as not likely a bug.

Sometimes a defender just sees a play early and beats his man. Even if this were a poorly designed play, this still would not be a bug.
