There are some things I flat out disagree with, but this is mostly solid. Guards should have speed on a fairly high priority, though, seeing as they have to sweep out and make a block on some plays... And if they don't have the speed to get into the open space and make the block, they're useless on those plays. If you're on a team that mostly runs towards the inside, I guess it's not as much of a problem, though. It's also noteworthy that Guards and Centers should have more strength than tackles... because they have to go against must stronger tackles, whereas tackles go against DE's, who load up heavily on speed and agility. I also disagree with the importance you place on agility. That's something, IMO, you can slowly bring up to where you need to be, since offensive linemen are the most energy efficient group of players in the game. I'd much rather spend some extra points in strength/blocking/agility/vision early on rather than stamina, especially if I have competent back ups/am a back up. And, while I do love Line General, the run tree shouldn't be ignored for centers. It's essential to have a few points in those abilities to make sure you can rush the ball inside effectively.

C should go higher than 50 on STR/BLK.

Fully agree, my point was to get to 50 as soon as possible, not that you should stop there. I just wanted to emphasize that hitting 50 takes priority over pretty much everything else.

I'll add a note regarding the pulling right guard, I hadn't done so because I have never seen anyone pull off the plays effectively or consistently.

Regarding stamina, I found that even with a decent backup, I was getting killed energywise until I hit about 25, and once I hit 30 I generally lost no more than 20 points off of energy and played roughly 45-55 snaps on hard. If you can manage on less stamina then more power to you, these numbers just work for me.

For centers, I strongly feel that Line General should be a priority. A lot of O-line fall into the trap that pancakes are more important then they are and dump more points into run blocking then they probably should. As I said; get LG, then if you are on a team that runs, add to your run blocking tree.

one thing I've noticed is that playing against stronger opponents really hammers stamina. However, if you are the stronger player in the matchup, your guy can get buy with a lower stamina.

The catch there is if you plan on being the stronger player and roll with a lower stamina and end up facing a stronger opponent you are kinda screwed because you are not only weaker, but also have a low stamina.

Well, with center's specifically, it's not a problem... Since they get the highest natural gain to strength in the game, at a full point per level (!!!)

What about SAs. I've heard about the so-called 10 rule: 1 sa for every 10 in the base skill. Thue an OT with a Blocking level of 50 should have a 5 in pass blocking or run blocking. Does that rule work for OTs?

Yes, you could go with 1 in 10. Personally I'm a little heavier, probably about 1 in 8. Also don't forget that you have two major skills you are balancing, strength and block. I would use the combined amount for the basis of this. If you have a 55 strength 45 block guard you will probably want more than 5 SP in SA.

If I could roll all my players again, I wouldn't put a point into SA's until they hit 22.

"The pulling right guard"

I am currently in the process of trying to see if this build can be effective.

Currently I have the follwing in key attributes:
Blocking: 49
Strenght: 64
Speed: 36
agility: 28
Vision: 22

I need to get vision up towards 35 before I think I will start seeing any results, then more into speed and agility.

I will report back at a later date... I just hope this player isnt going to be a complete waste of time...lol

This should be stickied.

Why wouldn't you want LT and RT to get strength and blocking to the soft cap ASAP?

Funny thing is, my Center was at the soft cap for both STR and BlK by level 7.

Great guide!

I'd say it's not a waste of time. Quite similar to my guy just more strength than mine but less speed and quite a bit less agil/vision.
