One other thing, there is no such "good" tactic that works in this league. Last season you could probably run the same tactics and get good results on a regular basis, that doesn't work here. Believe me, we've learned the hard way. If you keep doing the same thing, people will adjust and you will get worked.

You have to do your homework, scout the teams, adjust the tactics for each game. There are a lot of smart players in this league that will figure out what you are doing really fast, you have to mix it up and find new ways to be successful.

Exactly. I'm about to go scout the Wildcats. Revenge is on the Bayou Bengals mind right now. We got whipped by the Wildcats last year, but this year will be different.

I'm just glad to learn it early in the season rather than in the playoffs. I'm sure we will get more educations rest of the season.

Yeah. Basically any game between the top 9 in the West seems like a coin flip.

Yeah, it's a shame one of them won't make the playoffs. There is really little advantage of been a higher seed in the playoffs (other than the extra revenue), anyone can beat anyone.

The biggest advantage in the entire game is playoff revenue. Cmon you have to see that, you have a huge stadium as well. We can fund our roster's level 24 bonuses in concession revenue alone this year.

But I see your point as the parity of teams in the playoffs. After witnessing several of my league's playoffs, I am convinced that an upset factor or something is altered to put teams on even footing more often when they don't deserve to be. This league isn't a great example from last year but odd games occurred (right Pewnts?). It actually makes good business profitability sense for the devs to favor the upset in the playoffs. Think in through before you call me a conspiracy theorist.

You are correct, sir.

You really think us beating the Pewnts in the playoffs last season was that big of an upset?

We beat the Pewnts handily in the playoffs. They best us by 6 points this year and 7 points last year in the regular season. If Billy would have connected with Joe Rogers in the endzone at the end of our game this season, we would have probably beat them.

Anyway, the Bengals have found their offense finally. Watch out western conference...

The Pewnts are definitely head and shoulders above the rest of the competition, but I don't think the gap is all that big. Two of their wins this season are by a total of 7 points, so those were very close games and probably couple of plays away from going the other way. They'll be tested again when they play LUEs and Squirrels back to back in a few days. Given the strength in our conference this season and that they have to face Superior Grizzlies in the season finale, I don't think they are going to go undefeated. Everyone is going to bring their A game against these guys, and sooner or later, someone will catch them on an off day.

little advantage...other than.... --> means that extra revenue is an advantage, but OTHER THAN that, there is very little advantage. The home team doesn't get a morale boost for playing at home during the playoffs. Maybe they should implement something like that.

You assume the Pewnts well get through to the championship. Lets not forget they lost in the second round last year to the Bengals

No. Don't be so quick to jump my shit this season. I remember some weird crap that happenned to the Pewnts with a lot of random drops and odd plays in that game that seemed not to make much sense. It was a knock of the mysterious nature I see in underdogs having much more of a chance last year in playoff games rather than if they were squared off in the regular season. Thats why I prefaced my statement with that it didn't strongly apply to this league. Yet I involved the Pewnts into the discussion because I know they had voiced some displeasure with sim behavior in the playoffs last year. Not taking anything away from Hammond, yo.

More my observations across several leagues, I tried to make it somewhat relative to some in our conference. I said at the beginning of this year that it would be more of a slugfest every week, and that is what it seems to be more of without a doubt. Moreso for the other conference than mine, I might defer.

Agreed Rod, we were left scratching our heads at the dropped passes and incomplete's for that game, we caught everything until that playoff game, it was unreal like someone greased the balls or something, and lawdog... we were on the goalline twice in our earlier game this year, So yeah it could have been ALOT different,so don't think your one pass play would have been the difference.

As to everyone bringing their A-game to us, we know it and expect it week in and week out. As soon as the game ends, were scouting and prepping for the next game. See you guys on the field

I will say there was definitely something wrong our guys when it comes to big games. There are just so many more drops and weird routes that I have to be suspicious. I won't say that the Bengals didn't have our number that game though, we used the same tactics for about 10 weeks prior that worked out great, as Datong had mentioned.

That being said, you have to keep your head up Xfx. This league is one of the toughest I've seen and some teams could easily get to the playoffs in USA AAAs or other Pro leagues.

(I just had an epiphany, though it won't change much. Damn.)
