While the debate on how much owning a full roster can be a benefit and/or hindrance, it really has no impact on whether you can be very good in Gold. Builds are important, but if your OAI/DAI are shit, so is your team. You can be very good with mediocre builds, but you can't be good without good AI's (even with the best builds).
