Well TBH I would be Pissed it that happen when I had him set to Deep Under Strong Third but when I set him to Go there Immediately he should just go there. That would be the Point of Immediately. When I set him that way it is because I don't want him to worry about reading the Run play at all I just want him to get where I tell him. Now Vice a Versa goes for the Deep Under Strong Third call, He should read run then get to where he is supposed to be.

I also DC this team the Daytona Blackhawks and the same Zone Immediately type of play should have worked like this

To me this is exactly what I in-vision when I tell a player to go to this Zone Immediately no vision check just get there.

Same thing happens here with the DE's going exactly where they should be with no vision check. so why in the OP does he have to read something before getting to the Zone Immediately?

In the first one, it looks like he tries to get there, but the TE grabs him otw.

In the second, he seems to be watching the HB, but idk why he is doing that if he is going to zone.

We still need more of this happening incorrectly to try and establish some kind of pattern.

another Zone Immediately by both OLB's here but LOLB does not go there he looks like he is reading something when he should not be reading but going straight to his Zone.

I am leaning towards Truthhammers assessment atm. It seems very much like them failing to go to zone is because they "read run". I'm still undecided if it is intentional. You've definitely given us enough info now though. Thank you.

Yea that is what I am thinking as well, but if they are told Zone Immediately they should just go and not read anything. If Set to any of the other 3 Zone settings ( Deep, Med, Shallow ) they should read and react to the run or pass then go to their Zone.

It seems to me that since the player can achieve this zone without "zone immediately" that this setting should have some purpose.

The real question here is whether or not its working as intended.

We didn't code the game of course so getting that answer isn't simple.

I think to be safe, based off what I have seen it's best to send it though.

In this replay if the LOLB had gotten to his Flat Strong Zone Immediately he would have forced the TE/FB to either pick him up or move on instead to the next level thus making the runner either have to go back a few yards to get around it or cut in and go behind it.

Just my opinion and yea we did not code the game but I think it would make sense to clear up the difference.

Immediately should mean exactly that with no reading of the play being done until he gets to his spot.

Zone (Deep, Med, Shallow) should have a read then drop action to it.

I'm gonna agree with this one. Plenty of info, and it seems like the "immediately" isn't quite as immediate as it should be.

Immediate should either be "immediate for pass" or "immediate" no matter what the type of play.
