Before the DPC we couldn't stop the roll outs. Only way to stop them was play goalline defense. If they do too much harm to the DPC , pee wee may just die off. What fun is watching slam ball with winner getting better field position and less penalties? The team who tries to extend beyond slam/offtackle ball will more than likely lose more often than not.

Per one of the testers:
"The D-line has to be put in a pre-set alignment period.
The LBs are set as a unit then you can chose near, normal, deep, (and some very deep) for each individual LB. Any LB you leave in position, can blitz. If you are not blitzing a LB, you can then move him as you can now. DBs can be moved around like they are now."

Sounds like no big deal then, unless you frequently blitz linebackers (nobody I've ever seen)

And isn't that wrong? I mean blitzing LB's have been a part of ALL football since the word "blitz" was used IN football. But yer right Stone... never see anyone use it (I tried my first season as a DC... a few times... until I saw how worthless it was).

If a team is really predictable, you can blitz to stop the run. The problem in PW is that the players often don't read/react well enough, so if you blitz one place and they run somewhere else, you could be in trouble.
