I've never minded those "cheats." Every one of them can be countered. I would have rather they just left the DPC alone, added a significant RNG to timing the snap for blitzers (sometimes they nail it, others they are delayed) and dramatically improved the HB's blitz reading. They should suck at blocking the blitzer, since most HBs only have 17ish blocking, but they should see it 90+% of the time. Do those things and I would have been happy (they apparently didn't agree).
As it stands now, each one of those "exploit" blitzes takes away a route or 2 and renders a few plays useless, but they also leave holes to exploit. Ssn after ssn, SoCal BDC has top blitz builds and uses the "exploits" to the hilt. Ssn after ssn, they are beat in the 2nd round of the POs. For my $, there isn't a better blitz team in GLB. If it was that unstoppable, they'd have at least made it to a few conf champ games. I've always liked the chest match it sets up between the O & D.
I may be WAY off on this, but, from what I've seen in the test games and the little I've messed with the limited DPC, I fear that all this change is really going to do is essentially nerf blitzing LBs and make blitzing CBs, FSs and SSs invaluable for heavy blitz teams (psst....Steve and whoever that other guy was that commented on it earlier, here's the link again
