Hey, I kicked mega ass with that team....That was fun. Way under lvled every game we ever played, but damn good builds. It wasn't until Bob quit and I couldn't do the O anymore that the team started failing apart...Not saying it was the new OC
Really, it was the new "ownership" that caused that team to crumble, but I really was proud of what we did before the switch. Collectively, some of the best work I've seen in GLB

That wasn't a rip on you, man....not at all. It is damn near impossible to jump into a role at the very end of ssn and excel at that lvl. Doing that in PL is tough, but trying to do it in WL is damned near impossible if you haven't been closely following the sim. You were stuck in a no win situation. Flip side, look at what you've done since having a chance to get your own system in,,,,damn good.

Ouch....that really hurt PP. Felt like a gun shot round to the chest.
Seriously though....by the time the Meltdowns disbanded, I would say that 3/4 of the original team had moved on. I always thought that we had a chance to win the league, but it seems that everyone wanted explore other options.

lol...I was 100% giving ya shit, man. I meant what I said after that. It really was the new team ownership. It went from an "us against the world" mentality to a "this is MY team and you will do things MY way." Having recruited the majority of that team for a different team (was going to be a farm team for my original team), only to have the team owner have to go active duty after a couple of ssns and sell (the majority of those agents/dots reformed on the Meltdowns), I knew the agents well. AWESOME group of guys and builders, but the second the "My way or Hwy" shit started with the new owner, I knew it was doomed.
You did a great job.

I knew that you were screwing with me, I just forgot to use the wink smilie. I forgot that new owners name, but I do know that he was the reason that a lot of Addicts left the team. In fact, that is where I first met trentw and KoB. During my many conversations with trentw, he invited me to join the Addicts and the rest is history. So some good did come out of it.

PP is right Bobby .... you came in after the new owner took over, and changed the atmosphere. Team just wasn't the same. But it was a hell of a team while it lasted .... NBM was a great guy, and surrounded himself with good agents.

Speaking of one of the agents from those days that is in our system....And to this day, one of the most valuable/dependable gamers I've ever been associated with. Then there is Woodsy (our DC), Shull (the man that pulls the strings on O for most games) and xylo (just makes OMG quality dots). There were more, but attrition has thinned the rest from the game all together, but those are 4 invaluable agents that all came from the Meltdowns
/thread derailment sorry AZ. You always have impressed me as a class act and deserve this thread to be about you and the team

I was there a season before NarleyBobMarley stepped down as owner I think. I do remember when he left and the other guy took over and start making all kinds of changes. I think that he would have been fine if he didn't start taking away people's lolgms. That seemed to me to be the thing that caused the biggest uproar. I do miss that team. It was my second favorite OC gig, with GG being the first.
