Not totally true. They wont let a gold level team dominate Silver each season and just be demoted every time they win their league and all the Silver tourneys. Usually it takes going CPU to stop going Gold. They might allow one demotion, but I am not sure what their standard for that is.

I've watched them demote like a friggin ass ton of teams that didn't go CPU... so believe what you may...

What Silver teams did you see that were going to be promoted to Gold, but were able to stay in Silver that didn't go CPU or all CPU players?

So just to clarify, you have seen teams that where going to go to Gold get demoted to Copper with only all CPU players, correct? No team that wanted to stay at least semi-competitive has ever been demoted, correct?

No, actually a team was demoted via request that competed in silver the very next season... one and only one... I raged about it in the silver league's forums for a little while afterward, I'm not entirely sure which team it was...

Aww thought better of speaking out

I requested on advance to not have my team goto gold last season and got a prompt reply before the playoffs stating that that they would not allow my team to be demoted ...if the team wins in their silver league, then they will be promoted ...I guess the CPU thing and selling the team would be the only way out

Not true at all, that has happened much more than twice...I can think of two off the top of my head, WVWP and Cleveland Horde

Cleveland was already in Gold and asked for a demotion (which was granted). They did compete in Silver the following season. Different situation though, as it wasn't a Silver team that was granted a demotion after winning Silver. Rather a Gold team that was demoted by request.
