I agree that individual Defense makes it more fun. If LE has a program to pull the stats making it very easy, why not do it? They may be somewhat random from game to game, but I think this would actually make drafting more of a challenge (challenge = fun for me). Think about it, would you rather take a CB off of PNM where we get very few PD's (currently 13), or from Final Thought who has the league high (48)?

On a different note, would there be a limitation on drafting your own teams players? Probably not worth it to most people to screw with their team chemistry, but do you think that people might try to inflate the stats of a given player if they have them on their fantasy team? Would we even care? I really don't have any strong feelings either way to be honest, but figured I'd throw it out there since it came to mind.

I thought of that and I would think not.

I dont think teams would try to feed their own fantasy players because its hard enough controlling stamina and max xp to each player as it is. Having individual defensive players makes both sides of the ball more fun. You have to do some research and see which teams blitz or play coverage more so than the other.

I think we certainly should give this fantasy idea a try next season. It sounds like it would be really fun.

Maybe we can find either a replacement to help with Short Bus or someone else who can run it.

I'm willing to help in any way needed, I'm an expert php coder if you really are in to this and are willing to do the work required to gather the statistics I'd be more than willing to set up the system for making roster changes, trades, and even the draft all via php/sql communication.

I may need some help but we'll see. Kind of done with pee wee tbh, but this is something that I would love to do.
