Is this going to get to Catch or Bort?

I think it's important for the change log to be accurate. And like I stated in the original post, Bort made this change on Oct 5th, 2009. If he decided to reverse it, he needs an entry in the change log explaining this. If he didn't decide to reverse it, then it's a bug and it needs to be looked at.

I can tell you that it is affecting lower level games. You basically have to put a Safety or LB outside the Tackles or TE by a good margin to have the correct angle to cover a HB out of the backfield. The MLB can no longer cover a HB and has to be assigned to cover the TE. This also leaves a gaping hole in the middle of the defense if the Center wins the blocking battle with the DT.

It has also made a few screen passes extremely powerful at the lower levels. On the FB screen weak...the defender can be lined up exactly where the back catches the screen pass.... stands there and watches the FB catch the pass (instead of trying for an INT or deflection) then gets blocked by the HB or releasing TE.

All true. Screen coverage seems to have reverted to the old days before the oct 5, 2009 change log adjustment. Needs to either be corrected back to how it was after the change or a statement made that its working as intended and that changelog entry has been reversed... or maybe you all want screen pass to be king of the field again. Who knows anymore?

this really needs to be looked at because of the new DPC.

Players in this thread are not fully developed builds and are not reacting properly to the screens for a variety of reasons including having the defender too far off of the ball. Slower reaction times for slower players = screens are good. We ran a test game to verify that this is working correctly at higher levels. You can view the game here: http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=3238

Couple of examples to illustrate that the code is working correctly:

http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=3238&pbp_id=698231
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=3238&pbp_id=698234

Closing as issue is not a bug.
