"Tennessee Fury at Viridian Vanguards
Another matchup of preseason playoff contenders, this game finds the powerful Fury with an unlikely loss and the virulent Vanguards on an equally unlikely two-game skid. Again, morale and chemistry prove to be the difference as Tennessee continues its march to the playoffs while Viridan must wait 'til next week to get their confidence back.
Fury 30 Vanguards 23"

Just a note for future reference, Viridia is what you were looking for in the last sentence. Viridian is an adjective in our name, so the noun should be Viridia (the place) - we come from another online game, at least most of us do, and we've pretty much established our own system of referring to ourselves. Just a heads up, man.

Good predictions again this week from all that provided them. My only comment is that while our chemistry is low, we're attempting to fix that nasty problem we have of breaking down on offense. A little trial and error is to be attempted in this game, so maybe our O-Line will produce better than expected and will yield good results on offense with it.

Here's to a great game, Fury.

No problem Painmaker, I don't think anyone beyond us would pick up on that fact. We play www.cybernations.net and our alliance in the game is the Viridian Entente, so we normally refer to the alliance as a whole as VE (Viridian Entente), Viridia or The Entente. Seeing as we're the Viridian Vanguards on GLB, Viridia is the only one that works.

Amusing predictions, Painmaker.... If Seabrook scores 23 on us, we should just give them the win. Since the start of last season, only three teams have scored that many on us, and the only one of those games that we lost was versus the league champ. Note, I'm not saying Seabrook won't score 23, but if they do, it will be thanks in large part to their defense forcing turnovers (which could happen -- they've got more forced fumbles than we do, and our offense has been prone to fumbles lately).

As for your Upset Special, good luck with that, because it's a bold pick. If I were picking an upset, I'd have to go with one that figures to be closer, Fanboys vs. Badgers. They have the same record, and the Fanboys are just a couple of spots back in the standings.

The Vanguards need a win today the same way we did last week, and for the sake of their team, I hope they come to play today the same way we came to play them. They'll need to, because you can bet the Fury will be ready to play.

Sorry man. I talked to you earlier this year and you're a great guy. But your team was gutted leaving you in a huge hole. This league is really competetive and that does not bode in your favor.

While you've brought in some ringers, our defense specializes in humiliating other offenses (even as our offense occasionally humiliates itself). It definitely will be a good matchup, however I can't help but believe that it will be a defensive grind instead of an offensive explosion. Its a very good matchup to be sure.

I definitely don't see us winning 33-3 though. The Lizard Lickers are definitely for real, in case anyone doubted due to their odd name.

Well, SanDiego took down the BugEaters today, what a win, what a comeback.

Great defense shut down arguably the leagues strongest pass offense...We shut them out in the 2nd half. great game. The leagues longest win streak comes to an end!

Good game Bugeaters, good effort, but I told ya, A6 is no joke.

Just like last game, neither our defense nor our offense came through.

*Sigh* It's going to be a long season folks.

Sconnie Badgers at New Orleans Fanboys
Class meets flash as the understated Badgers roll into the Big Easy for an Easy Victory. Fanboys have actually shown a little bite to back up their bark but Sconnie has old-fashioned toughness built right into their team. Badgers make the Fanboys wish they had their own long bus ride back to recover from this one.
Badgers 31 Fanboys 19

Oh there's a long bus ride ahead allright, but the Badgers get the honor of this one. We matched that old-fashioned toughness with some of our own and keep them off the scoreboard. Good game to the Badgers, best of luck and maybe we'll see you down the road.

This...was a smart man making a smart prediction.

6-2 this week and 14-2 overall.

This week really showed how big of an advantage homefield is. I truly believe that it has more of an impact that people think. The Grave Diggers completely dominated the Shockers at home. We also lost on the road to a great team in the Demolition.

Not sure if it was homefield advantage or what, but we definitly took a whooping from the Grave Diggers. I had thought we would at least compete

Pretty sure bort has not added any advantage for homefield in this game yet unfortunately...

You really nailed that. Turnovers were pretty big. Good game San Diego.

Good game regardless. I'm not sure what is going on with your team (chemistry is a part of it, but not all of the equation), but I hope you guys can get it figured out.
