was a great gameplan tbh....kept your defense off the field to prevent the typical 4th Q collapse because of low stamina/confidence

30 out of 98 offensive plays. Several of the 30 was incompletions.

You guys were doing as bad defending streaks, hooks, cross routes...

More like 50% and around 2/3 of the pass plays.

It worked and you dominated...but don't try to pass it off as 30%.

I have just watched the full game and marked it down. 30 out of 98. That is pretty close to 30%

Cross routes are slants

It was more than we planned to do, that is for sure. But I tried auto-adjust at quickly instead of none for the first time and that tilted the game plan a good bit.

btw, the difference in numbers comes from us just using the scout to see the plays called. Doesn't really matter either way because as you said your passes were hitting all over the field.

I marked most of them down as slants, so most of them are counted. But routes where a receiver runs ten yards straight, and breaks off inside is not counted as a slant.

Oh, then I understand. I did not count plays where we threw to a receiver running a streak route a slant even if another receiver ran a slant route.

Whoever runs the most most plays with slant routes will win.

Hmm.. That's pretty interesting. Didn't notice that. Though it makes sense since alpine is a 6seed and blaze a 4seed. The highest combined seed ccg in wl history?

Also, a big difference between this time and last time besides a new OC and our DC having time unlike early in the season. I mean, osaka ran for 330 yards last time. Ran for 38 in the playoffs. Their passing game is solid but they've relied a bit on the running game all season and couldn't run it that game. Was a big difference not to mention turnovers

Their offense is KILLING it right now. Did Alpine really 0 cares/back their way into the playoffs only to come out top dog?

Yes it will because its against the Blaze lol

This year has been pretty competitive. IMO any team winning at this point wouldn't surprise me.

that's pretty much called 'running a good offense' in S17. Alpine has some of the best WRs in the game, and since cav has taken over it's pretty clear that nobody's DBs can do much of anything against them. Why wouldn't you pass all the time if the other team can't stop it?

They didn't catch you sleeping--you could run that game again and know their offensive gameplan coming in, and unless you found the right exploit blitz (which you probably don't have the personnel to run) it wouldn't matter worth a damn. They'd still kill you.

Osaka was a good team this year. Alpine was a better one--if it makes you feel better to denigrate them because you think the Wowi were a crappy opponent so destroying us doesn't mean anything, feel free, but if you think Alpine somehow won on a gimmick you're deluding yourself. They're possibly the best team in the game right now, and the Blaze-Alpine game should be a display of the best passing attacks GLB has to offer.
