CB stops chasing because he's not set to blitz and the code for rushing QB still has defenders not making breaks on them when they run until they actually cross the LOS. You can clearly see that CB is not blitzing and thus, in coverage, he doesn't actually know if the QB is running or throwing (silly I know) until the QB crosses the LOS then he breaks for him, but is blocked.
It's not a bug at all. It's actually been coded that way forever, TBPH.
+ a zillion. Toriq spelled out the REAL problem completely. This has always been a problem. im amazed that the community hasnt bitched about it more often. and more amazed that bort wouldnt fix this when it first occurred ions ago.
Its more the code that bort has for qb sneaks. the defense isnt allowed to even react to a qb sneak until he crosses the LOS or outside the tackles in some plays. plus a qbs acceleration from the snap to the outside is ridiculous. when the D finally is allowed to recognize that this is a qb sneak...they have to stop, change direction while the qb is in full stride. the D should have a slightly delayed reaction to qb sneaks. very slight!
