The one time I've been to Jersey I remember the consensus of those in the car with me was "we're in the armpit of America". Poverty, ugliness, and ominous streets while we attempted to find the interstate. The mood finally lifted once we found Atlantic City, only to find that the "good" parts of Atlantic City transitioned into the "bad" parts of Atlantic in about a millisecond. As in, you're in front of a big money casino, cross the street, and suddenly find yourself wondering where all the lights and the glitter went.

I said Jersey SHORE, not Jersey.

Most of the shore areas are wealthier people. AC is garbage outside half the casinos. I am going to a bachelor party in Vegas, no way we would ever go to AC
