Nice work Husker. I think Saigon will win by more than 40 though...

Yea, we're probably the underdogs but hopefully it'll be close and fun to watch. You are definitely one of the games we were worried about on our schedule and had to face you before all the kinks in our ai was worked out. Good luck

My take (sorry for blatant rip-off, husker ):
Honolulu over Rosarica 41-24
Rosarica is a solid squad with a tough opening schedule, but I can't see them having the defense to contain the HHW onslaught. Both teams had difficult draws in Week One, but HHWC has to be the clear favorite.
LOL over Parma 55-26
LOL had problems defensively against a stout Carthage rushing attack in Week One, but I can't really pick the Panthers until they do something other than get slaughtered. True, it was Gunny's, but the preseason didn't give much reason for hope. LOL has a talented young offense, and that should carry them to victory.
So Cal BDC over QCBC 32-28
Should be a close matchup, but despite losing I think So Cal actually looked better in Week One than the Black Cats did. Both teams are WL veterans with solid shots at playoff spots, but QCBC's win over Korb wasn't particularly impressive--I'm going with So Cal in a nailbiter.
Hali over DotA 48-14
DotA is generating some buzz as a possible dark horse for a playoff spot. I think they're for real based on an impressive preseason (I know, lolpreseason), but I don't think they're ready to knock off a team of Hali's caliber.
Tyrrhenian over CSII 45-34
Hate to pick against my fellow CPL-ers, but that was an ugly loss to Speyside. Tyrrhenian put up 600 yards (against my admittedly terrible DCing) Week One, and they played much better in the preseason than CSII. Not sure which way to go in this one--could be a crazy game because I'm not sure either team can play D.
Mayan over Smurfs 78-42
Mayan beat Blaze Week One. Smurfs got killed by Shockers. I don't think Mayan is necessarily better than Blaze, and I think Smurfs are a stronger team than they appeared, but if Blaze couldn't stop the Mayan air show, IMO Smurfs can't.
Hounds over Kai 32-21
Another tough one, but the Kai's first game was mind-boggling. Did they just completely forget to play offense?
D9 over Sin City 43-11
I thought Sin City was underrated coming into the season, and an impressive win over an equally underrated Russian team shows they may be for real. Still, I don't think they have the offensive firepower to crack the D9 defense.
Korb over Feebs 51-31
Haven't been impressed by either team, but it's only Week Two, so I could be wrong, especially if DotA and QCBC are stronger than they appear. Korb looks to have an advantage on paper (pretty much why I'm picking them), but the Feebs poasting skill may buy them some points.
Saigon Whores over Krungthep Garudas 63-7
Saigon is ridiculous this season. Would guess they'll beat Krungthep by slightly more than Hali did.
Blaze over Shockers 66-41
I can't see the Blaze losing two weeks in a row, even to one of the WL's top squads in Cinci. This is this GOTW for sure, but in the end I think the Blaze's overwhelming offense will carry them to victory. The only question is whether the Blaze defense is better than they looked in W1.
Alpine over Osaka 42-41
Runner-up for GOTW. I wasn't sure who to pick here, so I decided to waffle like a bitch. Both teams ready to show a strong pimp hand as prospective playoff teams in the toughest conference of all time, so it should be a good one.
Lincoln over Speyside 33-28
I think Speyside is underrated--a young team that made the playoffs last year, I think they could easily beat Lincoln this week. Still, after Lincoln's young core took them on a run to the WL Championship game I'd have trouble picking against them until they show some sign of weakness.
Monowi over CMC -3 to -4
Elle Bishop imo.
Gunny's over Indy 42-38
Another awesome matchup--Gunny's got an easy Week One draw, so we don't know much about how much better they are than last year. Indy is a peaking team who look to be a strong contender in Zeta, and they'll certainly give Gunny's a run. I think Gunny's gets the win, but it will be closer than people think.
Moose Jaw over Russian 24-19
Russian has an excellent Effective Level Avg., but can they coordinate? Their offense struggled in their W1 loss to Sin City, and it doesn't get any easier as Moose Jaw showed a stifling defense against the Kai. I think Russian could surprise some people this year, and this game would be a chance for them to make an early statement. From Moose Jaw's perspective, this game is must-win.
