ok, so the second line doesn't work
I don't understand why it's so inconsistent. Should they just be parsed wherever they appear? I'm giving this as first verification although this will probably fall near the bottom of Bort's to-do list.

Im giving this a second verification. Im not 100% sure when it doesn't work, but here's two times where it definitely doesn't:
