Why LOL? For WL league, maybe, but those free agents are now going to end up in the Pro leagues which will hopefully boost the quality of the leagues. Makes sense. Since they aren't getting many more people signing up, the only way to bolster the leagues and the game in general is to increase the number of players by prolonging the career span. Pro leagues should be better because of this.

Well yes. But, I'm sure those FAs planned/hoped on going to the WL and not sticking in the Pros for another 2-3 seasons.
