Ill be honest, i hope there is not an AA or AAA, at least not in the current state. The numbers are there to group teams of similar level/value and ability together to make fun, competitive leagues at each level. Will see what they come up with next season.

The Titans have made some upgrades recently, and are not planning on letting the Son's roll away with the the conference cup. Adding some depth and skill players, they have made themselves the legitmate number two, and moved into position to take the one slot from SoL. Already having defeated the Pirates, the only close team left are the Rippers, who would need a huge upset to defeat the Titans.

Looks like they got that huge Upset.

yeah I've been trying to keep up with the changes forum... but too many pages to read everything and catch up. lol

from what i hear it will be just pro and everything below that will be pretty much like the capped minors... :/ not sure what my opinion is on it yet... I'll wait till I hear all of the specifics of it all.... i don't even know what i want any more....

Well personally I hate that idea. The minors bore me to tears as its just a way of going through the motions. The reason there are so few teams at these levels is the game has changed too much too fast and people have reset a lot as they were sick of trying to keep up. Also all he season 2/3 players are retiring now which as far as I can tell was the time when a lot of people started and built players.

If this game turns into one giant cloud system thats just another nail in the coffin

Curious why you would hate a system that was capped (using SP value or something other than the current cap imo) all the way to Pro? Facing equal competition each season would be GREAT! Not sure why folks would care about what its called, as long as the games are there. And, as those teams would be close, they should move up through the system together to the Pro levels. The last 5 seasons till this one have been my best in GLB. The Elite/Competitive/Standard minors is exactly what GLB should be modeled after.

yeah the competition will be regulated... no more teams like the Sons of Liberty that recruit and dominate AA with level 70 players.....

I guess i just don't like the idea of having more Minors... i liked the idea of finally getting out of the minors when we got to AA...

But i understand the teams like Sons of Liberty that recruit and dominate AA because they are playing with in the rules. and I understand the teams that want to play with the players they always had. but not have to be dominated by the level 70 teams... maybe more capped leagues is the best idea... idk... or just limit the level range in AA and AAA so that you only have level <60 in AA <70 in AA and unlimited in Pro/WL... I think i just don't want it to continue going by 4 levels for leagues... keep AA/AAA but limit the highest level player you can go. imo

So basically you want forced retirement as well then? Because the Sons are level 70's but they are also 2-5 seasons into decline. They will have no place to play if you limit levels. Don't get me wrong I can understand the frustration, but believe me a good mid level 50 team can beat a team of declining dots, it has happened the last 2 years to our "retirement home."

If they put a system in place where level 70+ can only play in pro they might as well change the FAQ on decline and say that once your player enters his second season of decline you must retire him because there will be no place to play.

I'm actually for an SP based system. Older declining players are a bit more difficult to factor, but not that much. The attributes are known, bit harder to calculate SA and VA effects on SP value, but still not impossible. IE right now I would put SoLs team value at about 915-930. Game has them at 1000+.

Yeah I would be all for that.

That would depend on the level 50's. Rippers are a bit over valued with the 5 upper 50's we have. Been in the same league as Death Star a few times. We are nowhere near their caliber, and we are a good team. Not a great team though. Not all 50's are the same. Pretty much anything within 120 SP value is winnable. The farther up or down you go, so go the chances of a win. Within 50 SP, pretty even game. Don't think I have ever seen a team beat a 120+ deficit. And far less of a deficit when playing against a good team. IE DS would be tough at the same value as we are. Good builds, and Staff. So prob have to get well within 50 SP for us to have a closer game with them.

The Titans Avg. Eff. Lvl. is 69 and SoL's is 74... Does that mean we have a Shot at an upset, lol? We are in there house and our Chemistry is a little low.

Current 8 Pro Leagues

AAA (Elite Uncapped) - AA (Competitive Uncapped) - A (Normal Uncapped)

Elite Level 54 - Competitive Level 54 - Normal Level 54
|
Current Minor Leagues system

Pro teams:
- Bottom 2 Pro teams from each conference demote to AA.
- Top teams from AAA fill in across the Pro Leagues for demoted/gutted/CPU teams.

New AAA/AA/A:
- Bottom 4 AAA teams from each conference go to AA, top 4 teams from each AA conference go to AAA
- Non playoff teams from AA go to A, playoff teams from A go to AA
- Non playoff teams in A stay in A
- Leagues are sized to next closest 32, with any spillover in A filled by CPUs that could be bought. Spillover for AAA or AA would be filled by the next best available teams from A or AA.
- Leagues are all sorted by rivalry points to keep teams together as much as possible throughout their lives.

Lv 54 teams:
- Lv 54 playoff teams from any tier go to AA.
- Lv 54 non-playoff teams from elite go to AA.
- Lv 54 non-playoff teams from competitive or normal go to A.
- Bottom 2 teams stay in 54 as usual, unless over 54, in which case they go to A.

Lv 46 teams:
- Lv 46 teams with players over lv 54 will always go to A
- Lv 46 elite playoff teams go to A.
- Lv 46 competitive playoff teams go to 54 elite
- Lv 46 normal playoff teams go to 54 competitive
- Non playoff teams move as normal to lv 54 or 46.
- Bottom 2 teams stay in 46 as usual, unless over lv 46 players on roster

Lv 42 teams:
- Now go to 54 when going up 2 tiers
- Three tier jump can be requested to go to A if a conference champ.

I really only skimmed the conversation up to this point, but maybe they should have a standard recruitment period, and then sort out teams based on avg effective lvl... or at least avg lvl to make it more fair. To prevent people from waiting until after the recruitment period was over and then signing a lot of higher lvl guys, perhaps they could make caps once the teams have been sorted so you can't ever have lots of higher leveled players.... or maybe a fierce chemistry penalty for signing after recruitment is over, something to detur getting any advantage lvl wise.

This would lead to even competition as far as how well players are build and grouped together... then there would be a much larger emphasis on game planning/coaching. **Not sure if most people want that though, but at least you won't just be stuck in a league that you have no hope of winning in**
