Guess it was my fault for not reminding people that polls are open as soon as the games end every week. Small turnout this week only 4 so far... I'll keep them open a little later tonight and do the writeup late tonight or tomorrow morning. So polls are still open for week 4 if you havent voted yet and wish to.

Can't really do an accurate poll with so little votes, but what I've seen so far look good. So if we don't get any more tonight I'll just go with what I have and just do a mini report. People tend to get voter burnout every once in a while so no biggie. Plus we got Sales and Hokie to read.

Ok I have 8 now I'm going to start the write up. If you hit me up in the next few minutes I'll count it, otherwise I'm closing the voting for week 4.

The USA fought hard for a 1 -1 tie vs England. I am hammered and happy. Get them votes in for week 5.

I was listening to the USA coach on ESPN Radio describe this game as a "win" for the U.S. Apparently a tie is a win. A tie.

This is why I simply cannot get into soccer, no matter what else it has to offer. Baseball goes to extra innings until there's a winner. Basketball goes into overtimes until there's a winner. Golf has playoff holes, racing has photo finishes and even tennis has tiebreaker sets. Yeah, some football games end in a tie (and it ticks me off when they do) but at least it happens rarely, and most levels of football make a good effort to eliminate those ties.

But soccer ... soccer matches end in a tie all the time, especially when the opponents are of similar quality. Same with hockey. How can someone justify buying a ticket to a sporting event that is likely to end in a tie? It boggles the mind.

But yeah, congrats to the U.S. on their "win"
