Week 3 Lion Predictions
GOTW
West Nile vs Nigeria
Two undefeateds square off to see who's for real and who's living off their schedules. Should be a good game and I give the edge to Nigeria.

WYB vs Sterling
This was once almost always a GOTW nominee but the Bulldawgs rough recruiting ( ) should make this one of WYBs easiest games against them in the last 3 seasons.

Kalahari vs Botswana
Big chance for Kalahari to start putting up some wins has to start here. Both teams have a lot to prove yet.

Port Harcourt vs Cambridge
Should be an easy win seeing as it's a CPU roster.

LHC vs Denver
Welcome back LHC indeed...

Stockholm vs Colonial
The Gods have blessed the Zoners this season the way their schedule is going. They'll need to face a real test soon.

Phoenix vs Morocco
Someone's got to get a win here.

Carson vs Rapid City
Can Carson City finally make it on the scoreboard this week?

Week 3 Lion Predictions
GOTW
Somalia vs San Antonio
Could be a good game. Could be a huge Venom loss. Either way I see Somalia taking the game.

Covington vs Warri
The Warriors have a chance to make a statement but I'm going with Covington.

MMM vs Mogadishu
Not much happening here.

Barcelona vs Cape Town
The Blaze keeps burning.

Blacc's vs P-Town
No ballin here. The Bastards with an easy win.

Zimbabwe vs Alexandria
Who's going to go against the Rebels this early in the seasons??? Not me. At least not this week.

Toro vs Mario
The Maniacs SHOULD win this one.

Nigerian vs Nile
Vipers win an easy one.

Cīmon Boss, you made a good recruitment job.
Don't underestimate your new acquisitions.

Week 3 Lion Rankings
1 Nigeria Nightmares (3-0) - Nigeria dominated West Nile this week in every facet of the game. With over 1,000 yards of offense and a defense that gave up negative yardage and 0 points they have made their statement early in the season. Both teams were undefeated but easy to see now who was the pretender and who was the contender. Huge challenge up next with LHC coming to town though.
Next up: LHC

2 Sterling Bulldawgs (3-0) - A big win for Sterling this week as they managed to overcome a few turnovers to take down their old rivals. With Phoenix & Morocco on hand they should be able to get to 5-0 before facing Colonial.
Next up: Phoenix

3 LHC Naked Turtles (3-0) - An easy win for the Turtles. The rise through the rankings begins.
Next up: Nigeria

4 West Yorkshire Bandits (2-1) - A tough loss to the Bulldawgs this week with a wild finish to the first half. The Bulldawgs held a close 14-10 lead before scoring with just over a minute left to go up 21-10. WYB wasted no time nailing a FG to close the gap to 21-13 but then Sterling came back again to score in 16 seconds for a 28-13 lead. WYB came back and answered with a 93 yd kick return TD to make it 28-20 though. Neither team got much done in the second half as Sterling put up 6 points to WYB's 0.
Next up: Colonial Zoners

5 Colonial Zoners (3-0) - Another bye week for the Zoners. They'll face their first real test this season this week and you can bet the Bandits are looking to get back on the winning track.
Next up: West Yorkshire

6 Cambridge Chieftains (3-0) - Cambridge has taken advantage of their schedule so far but the next 3 weeks should be some stiffer competition.
Next up: Kalahari

7 West Nile Mosquitos (2-1) - Rough would be an understatement for their last game. West Nile got nothing going all day long. They'll have to go back to the drawing board if they want to prove their worthy of playoff talk.
Next up: Botswana

8 Kalahari Night Riders (2-1) - A very slow start to the game with only 3 points scored but then the floodgates opened up as they went on to win 80-0.
Next up: Cambridge

9 Rapid City Sioux (2-1) - Back on the winning track this week. They'll get a bye week before facing the Bandits.
Next up: Stockholm

10 Botswana Bone Breakers (1-2) - A shutout loss shows how far the Bone Breakers have to go this season. Things could get tougher the next 2 weeks for them.
Next up: West Nile

11 Morocco Snake Charmers (1-2) - Someone had to win that last game. The Snake Charmers did it in good fashion as they shut out Phoenix to show some life.
Next up: Port Harcourt

12 Denver Assassins (0-3) - Shutout. Might have a shot at win #1 this week.
Next up: Carson City

13 Port Harcourt Playmakers (0-3) - Another team yet to score this season. Hard to say when things will get better for them as they haven't even hit the tough part of their schedule yet.
Next up: Morocco

14 Phoenix City Warriors (0-3) - Phoenix was dismantled this week and things don't look to get any better for the next 3 weeks.
Next up: Sterling

15 Carson City Cadillacs (0-3) - To hell with getting their first win of the season. How about some points on the scoreboard. Maybe this week.
Next up: Denver

16 Stockholm Polarbears (0-3) - CPU team
Next up: Rapid City

Week 3 Elephant Rankings
1 Zimbabwe Rebels (3-0) - Another crushing victory. Can they keep up the pace next week against the Venom?
Next up: San Antonio

2 Mayotte Metal Militia (3-0) - Wonder if MMM has week 10 circled on the calendar already because that may be their next test at this rate.
Next up: It'sa me, Mario!

3 Barcelona Blaze (3-0) - The Blaze just keeps burning through their competition. Might as well rest up for Zimbabwe.
Next up: Warri

4 San Antonio Venom (2-1) - Marked this as the GOTW and it sure seemed that way for the 1st quarter. Then SA shut down Somalia on their way to a 28-10 victory. Definitely the best game in Elephant this week but not the nail biter we hoped for.
Next up: Zimbabwe

5 Blacc's Bastards (2-1) - Easy blowout for the Bastards as they can go on standby for the next few weeks.
Next up: Cape Town

6 Covington Black Knights (2-1) - The Knights are on cruise control for a few weeks.
Next up: Nile Valley

7 Somalia Warlords (1-2) - Somalia tried to keep my prediction intact taking a 10-7 lead in the 1st. Too bad the game didn't end there. Good news though. Just look at that schedule. It should be weeks before another loss.
Next up: Mogadishu

8 Warri Delta Warriors (1-2) - Well I said this was a chance for Warri to make a statement and they did just that. Statement: we're not ready.
Next up: Barcelona

9 Mario Maniacs (2-1) - Some might wonder why the Maniacs haven't moved much in the rankings after a win. 2 blowout wins are nice for stats but the Maniacs did nothing against a real team. The next weeks give them a chance of making movement but it's highly unlikely they can compete with MMM or Somalia.
Next up: MMM

10 Nile Valley Vipers (2-1) - See Mario. 3 rough games ahead for them.
Next up: Covington

11 Mogadishu Juggernaut (1-2) - What's worse than the thrashing they just got by the Militia? Following that up with games against the Warlords & Venom.
Next up: Somalia

12 Alexandria Barbarians (1-2) - That week 1 win seems so far away now. They can right the ship next week though before things get really rough for them.
Next up: Nigerian

13 Cape Town Great Whites (0-3) - Week 5 is looking like the best shot at win #1 so hang in there.
Next up: Blacc's

14 Nigerian Nightmares (0-3) - Another rough season for the Nightmares? Rinse, repeat.
Next up: Alexandris

15 Toro Nation (0-3) - Shutout. Someone has to get a win in the next game though.
Next up: P-Town

16 P-Town Ballaz (0-3) - Shutout. Is there a win on hand though?
Next up: Toro
