I'm going to guess I am 5-10 years older than you guys. I never really got into the growling vocalists for whatever reason. The music is fantastic I just need a little more melody in the songs. But I think that is because it became popular after I had decided what I liked.

And get off my lawn.

Sepultura was formed around the same time as megadeth. Never got radio play in the states to make them mainstream. The lead singer left in 96 and the band was never the same.

You know what, now that you mention that I remember hearing about them quite a bit back in the day. I just never got into them for the same reason as I mentioned before. However, their style made me think they must have been more recent. My error on this one.

However, I am going to give them a listen because they are from Brazil and that isn't a bad thing in my book.

Their lyrics were pretty political. I was a huge fan when I was in high school (mid 90s), along with Soulfly. I have not heard their name in years. Andreas Kisser (guitarist) lived down the street from me in Phoenix for a short period too. He is a badass guitarist.

The Derick Green led version aint that bad ... its like a whole new kick ass band. You need the Soulfly stuff to get the Max fix tho.

I never really liked Green in the lineup. Max and his bro have a new band Cavalera Conspiracy. New album is finished but won't be out til next year.

The song in the link is called "Sanctuary" and was from their Inflikted. That album was released in 2008. Soulfly has released two albums since Cavelera Conspiracy's Inflikted album released.

so there is a god....

I'm a fan of screaming and stuff... but that was pretty awful. I own 400+ cd's of all different types of genres, and that shit is plain ridiculous.

So you don't like Sepultura? I'm pretty sure that is what you meant but just want to make sure.

Ok. I see your point. Tanzania's dots are ugly looking. They need better colors or something.
