I guess its upsetting that i used "way" to describe the prestige and difficulty of doing that ina gold league. I stand that it would mean alot more to win, the AA, the CUP, and Gold League. If someone did that, whats the problem in saying the are way better than everyone?


No one said they weren't better, I was just stating the fact that what if s silver teams wins those main two tourneys... I don't think you understand what you said. How would it mean less for a silver team if they are the ones that stop a gold team from taking the crown by winning a main tourney? So for instance SBWL ends up winning the gold championship, but they lost to the same silver team in the championship of the FTW and Offical Cup, then that silver team goes on to win their league championship also... How does the silver teams Pee Wee King trophy mean less than golds if they had to beat the top gold team to get it?

Still not trying to derail your thread, but why make a thread when you are not willing to take criticism, are you really that sensitive?

I think winning the 2 tournies is the same for any league team, you misunderstand the importance to me on also winning your league.

If a silver teams wins the cup, wins the AA, and crushes it for their league as well they win a triple crown. I just think it should be silver triple crown trophy, if you won through a silver league. extremelly awesome and may never happen either, but one plateu to go. If you did it with a copper team, great, copper trophy.see where i'm trying to go with this?

I'm just saying leave the gold one for the best team we ever had, that can prove it without any forum debates or scripts. Can't we agree if someone won the gold one, that team should be celebrated as a rare thing that was hard to do?

Lots of Silver teams get offended when the critics talk about whos the best and how average gold team are better than your best silver teams. These same people who get offended magically quiet down once in gold. I won't say names but in the last 5 seasons there have been quite a few. There is a huge difference between the two leagues. Maybe it won't be so tough now because they basically made it impossible to token boost vs a team but in past seasons try winning games when your fighting an uphill battle all season long. It ain't no picnic.

Yea I agree, but these days gold coaches/owners are the ones running top silver teams so it can gets old when "Gold Owners" talk down silver even though most of the top silver teams are a part of a gold team.

Great stopry tyhis triple crown. I like it. mioght be hard to do thge 3 tourneyment and win 3 oif the bigguns when you do you are good team, top ogf teh line team, this is good idea.

I guess I touched a nerve here, but I will merely add that the reason I suggested it be 3 tournaments rather than 2 plus a league, is that this follows the traditional triple crown more closely.

Horse racing triple crown = 3 big time events.
Baseball triple crown = 3 big time statistical categories.

A player that wins a triple crown doesn't have to be on a great team (technically) so this award can be won by anyone from any team. Same with the horse. So in my mind the GLB equvialent should also be open to all leagues.

Like LE just added, winning 3 tournaments means you are a top team. Period. It would probably take several seasons before the first GLB Triple was awarded.

ok, it appears I'm in the minority thinking that winning your league should be included, so i'll let you guys run with it then.

That will still add something pretty cool for a team to try for.

Lets just get this out of the way, little explanation of the EDB crazy....

I live in a "building" that I sort of converted into a little commune....

7 of my "Co-workers" actually my employees, but lets not be technical... actually live in this "commune" which is located, actually in the process of being physically linked to my business "Headquarters" (Office building that is an absolute mess and I almost never go in there, that is why you pay employees isn't it)

All of these 7 people have like their own little housing area in the commune, so we didn't always see that much of each other (I forced them all to sign up for GLB some time ago, only a few of them remain) so now we decided to have 2-3 "Meetings" a day in the central area (Looks like a gaming headquarters up in here with all the technology, darn nerds living together) which, when you invite permastoned to a meeting.... it tends to become a smoking session...

So it seems lately we've all just been high pretty much the whole day... and even with the bad economy the quarter is looking great, who would of thought that using marijuana was the solution to the economic crisis of S13 (little inside joke, my old business HQ got police raided because they thought it was a drug lab, which turns out, a few pounds of marijuana may or may not have been located in a little compartment under the floor, lets just say thank god for lawyers, and a retarded judicial system. But apparently drug raids aren't the best for business.)

So basically what I'm explaining is that I am almost always high, and am almost always doing nothing, and considering I live with 7 people, including my future wife (Don't know if she knows that yet ;D ) I have almost no reason to really leave, so I sit here, play some GLB, troubleshoot with my newer employees, and smoke with my homies...

Wow, I realize ABSOLUTELY nobody cares about that, but it is a funny story so I thought I'd share.... I'd love to hear some of your guys life explanations for being able to donate so much time to GLB.

I'm pretty sure most people on here use work/school as GLB playgrounds and there has got to be some good stories out there from it.
