Good game Phalanx. I thought the game would be more like the 1st Qtr and didn't expect the floodgates to open up like they did after. Your defense didn't look that bad actually. I like how you called the game, changing up the defense and added some twists on offense. I'm sincerely not gloating, even when you were in a good defense you had a hard time stopping us, like a lot of other teams this season, it surprises the shit out of me sometimes. To me, match-ups are everything when your scheme is sound on both sides of the ball.

the regular season was a little dry, what made the season fun was the 2 tournaments we were in, were we played some really good competition. If you look at the teams we played, most of them made it at least to their conference championship games.

Overall yes it was fun. The league regular season wasn't fun, but like huskies said, if it wasn't for the 2 tournaments then only the league playoffs would have been the interesting part. As for league competition, the Elite #46 League last year was still the best. I was hoping Bort would do the same with the AA's this year. The top half of Region AA in one league and the bottom half in the other. Would have made some nice competition.
Thunderpussy's Iron Curtain AA Tournament this season was simply awesome. Double elimination, huge 64 team field, a lot of well run and competitive clubs with diverse schemes. The Phalanx AA Tournament was smaller but there was no lack of heavyweights and anxiety.
I was giving my team a season analysis today and I was going through the teams we played in the tournaments to see how their seasons went and I came away impressed. I'm not a braggart but fuck me, It was a who's who of great teams and to get a string of wins like that gave me a raging hard on. And that made the season worthwhile.
I might edit this post later and throw up stats, that I put in our team forum, of the mentioned teams.

I completely redid the DAI. To be honest, I didn't feel all that confident with the defense I had set up, but I slacked off too much time to put together a better AI, and that's the best I could come up with given the short amount of time I gave myself. I was impressed with my defense in the first quarter, and had we not thrown that INT TD after recovering the fumble, we very well may have had the lead at the end of one.
After that, though, you're right. The flood gates flew open. The offense began to adjust towards the pass simply because the runs were getting 1-3 yards (which I'd love to be able to change when and why AA does what it does, since I like the concept). Then, the defense seem to get bunched up often enough to allow some BIG gains. Once the offense shifted to the pass (which is never a good idea when trying to keep the score close in this game), and the defense started getting caught up, gassed and depressed, it was just a death spiral from that point forward...
Then, you proceeded to take a shit on my team in the 4th quarter. What on earth? lol.
