Why is it ridiculous? It's funny how you claim no offense but yet you state it's ridiculous and call it a thing when in fact it's a tourney. It's the gold teams vs the Silver teams. I don't find it ridiculous at all in fact I do take offense to it.

Looks like a game to me. If nothing else, I'll take it as proof that ST are jacked up. 3 ST scores amongst 2 good teams. Yeah, it's F'd up this season....

No I agree with Guzz. The only trohpy that should really be given out is Gold MVT, Silver MVT. Maybe Gold and Silver MVT runner-up. But for half of the teams entering getting a trophy... it might as well say participant.

So by the same logic, the USA women's gymnastics team, as an example, has 6 women on the team. Low score I don't think is used. Let's say the USA women win the Olympic Gold. Does that mean the woman with the low score only gets a patch for her jacket? Does only the woman with the highest score get a gold medal? No, everyone on the team contributed no matter how large or small and they all receive a gold medal.

Same principal applies to the Gold-Silver Challenge. It is a TEAM competition. All participants on the winning team get their gold trophy. I think it's the team aspect of the competition that some of you don't understand. It isn't like all the other tourney's where it's every team out to win for themselves.

Anyway, just my 2 cents on how I see it.

Well I agree that its a bit extreme the way that trophies are adulated to spam profiles with trophies they don't even need to win a game for to get... I agree that the MVT awards would suffice as far as trophies are concerned...

Just read this now, now I know why you sent a scrim offer!

I just thought it was completely random, haha. Still game to run the scrim, especially now that WVWP whomped be (EDIT: me) out of the Air Attack Tourney (which is VERY deserving of trophies for the work alone that goes into the AI!).

My main reason for stating that the Gold vs. Silver challenge doesn't deserve a trophy is because a team could win 0 games and still get a trophy due to his league carrying him. It's a challenge... not a tourney. I stick by my statement that you should get a ribbon for winning, not a piece of hardware. It's like saying the meat heads and closet lesbians that win on MTV Road Rules vs. Real World Challenge deserve gold medals for winning -- ok that may be extreme but I thought it was funny and had to post it.

The Chicago Bears, a team which I hold close to my heart is indeed involved in the tournament, and actually hoist both a wining and MVT trophy from the tournament...

Also I don't care that you don't care that what you think isn't worth caring for.

Lastly I also sent Gerr along with the rest of gold a gameplan to beat the silver teams because I think that is what the Gold/Silver thing is all about, it's not about one team, it's about a league thing and it appears to me that you think only the team you reside on should be awarded for the entire Gold league pulling out a victory.

Then if a team like The U can get an award I think the Teams in the tourney should have representatives on both sides to decide who gets to represent their league. I think we did fail as Gold owners not have Tombstone in this tourney or even teams like Muddogs, Goats or Asylum. Sorry if I left the other teams out but this is all right off the top of my head. mayeb they should have a selection comittee.
