There are some things I'd like to see changed in the sim, but I also think the actually interactions are the best they've ever been in most cases. The killers are really the fumbles and death spirals. As far as balancing stuff goes, I honestly don't believe that could ever possibly happen until all % stacks are capped at 37.5% so that they can never possibly go higher under any conditions. I mean, seriously, HTF can you make a straight 10 Juke HB get anything our of fakes, but not make one with a 187.5% boost (which is amazingly possible with the right VA, AEQ stack) not be OMG over powered?! You flat out can't. Also, you can't tie spin to the slider without tying every other running SA to it. It's got to be an all or nothing deal.

i agree a lot with much of what is going on. i remember trying to DC back in seasons 3 to 5 when you just could not run any kind of a real defense. then the DAI changed and people found the glitches and exploits.

now they are being closed and you can actually run a more real defense than ever before. i cannot believe the difference in game planning when you look back to those early seasons.

for the future i personally i want true line stunts, but that is likely not to be seen until season 25.

Oh, and the spiral doesn't concern me. That will address itself over time, as the people that built 40 confidence dots realize they fucked up.

this is what i think has happened to quite a few builds. for example, some builds got away with all speed (or some other attribute important to their position) for several seasons. they left many other attributes low and weren't punished for it. but now that the 'forgotten attributes' matter, their imbalanced builds are biting them in the butt. for most of these guys it is too late.

the stuff for next year might hide imbalanced players again.

balanced players have always been the best players--imagine if jerry rice had chicken legs, no muscles and was blind--that was what most people created in wr's.

you and i understand that, but there were some teams that were able to get away with glitch / exploit defenses or offenses because they figured out the system.

we at zambezi have always tried to play the game straight up. last season was very disappointing for us because we learned how many top teams were using exploit defenses. it changed everything we did offensively. we felt we need to run the exploits ourselves just to compete. i hated that.

now that they are fixing those things, the game feels so much better to me and fat danny. it is a lot more fun now. now those teams who blitzed with 130 speed CBs with 22 confidence or similar WR's are not able to maintain if over the course of a game. next season, it seems they won't be able to maintain if over a few games before the wheels really fall off.

Depends on your definition of balanced. A real balanced player has always been terrible.

Example: WR---you want speed and agility higher, but not painfully higher to the expense of the other attributes--also some people build for every season while others build just for their possible one or two seasons in the pros and world league.

Only way to build guys...For those 2 or 3 seasons in the Pros......If you have a network team for the pros...Nobody cares about other level gold. So you must hit the 2 or 3 main attributes hard round them out before you hit your prime and roll the dice.

Personally, I like the sim. I think that most every play now has at least a chance to succeed. I hated seeing a whole formation (5WR) unuseable last season. I think that coordinators on either side of the ball have a fair chance to be successful. Some SAs are currently worthless - and some overpowering...but those are minor flaws. Still wish there were 2 TE and off set WR formations.

i'm reserving judgement on the current SIM. i still believe that scores are way too high at the top level. it's Arena football. i miss the tough games where scoring 30 points was a feat when facing a team of similar quality.

running games shouldn't run up extraordinary scorelines imo. there shouldn't be time enough to wrack up the TDs as they do now. i also hate the running game in GLB - it's far too easy and lazy to gameplan in comparison to getting the passing game going, where good knowledge and execution would still have you floundering.

aside: HB=WR=300 flex per boost = fail

Obviously I think the sim is terribly broken for our offense, other than that it seems pretty good. I like the direction. I'm interested to see how the sim changes now that they have "finalized" the non-sim stuff.

Haha! Going to take them a few seasons to work out all the bugs that are going to be introduced with the non-sim stuff. Watch. or
