I feel that taking anything over the third cap is a waste of SP, but I did take blocking, agility and strength to the third cap.

Then you're wrong.

Without equipment he is at:

Strenth: 89
Blocking: 88
Agility: 68

You must be blind. Show me where you poured your SP into a player untill they hit 75 and I'll show you a player that wasted a number of SP that could be used on other attributes. My way had my player at 68 around level 25.

figure i would throw my slow build center out there. In all honesty i forgot how high i got strength and blocking before i stopped investing in it. i would say it was probaly 80 plus in all honesty though.

obviously he needs stamina and confidence up, but he makes me happy and i have a few more seasons with him.

Did you circle cap str/blk? To get 89/88 str/block at 40 you'd have to have 3 capped str at 12 and then blk at 13, unless you trained them past 68.

If you don't have around 100+ natural strength for your endgame center build you will get absolutely steamrolled by any half-decent NT. They well rev-cake you all day.

I agree on strength/agility to 77, I only took blocking to 74. The reason is the Great Blocker still gets .5% increase, I think this can make up for the 3 points while giving 15 extra SP for confidence/SAs later in the build.

Should I build a player isn't equipped to succeed? The game promotes this type of build by giving a heavy bonus to strength and blocking each time a player levels up. To answer any question on how I got strength and blocking so high? The answer is I slow built him to 25 putting all of my SP in strength and blocking until I hit the 68 or 69. The attributes went above that as the player leveled up.

The player build is not open so I can't comment on that, but I'm guessing, since you only took STR to "68 or 69" the said attributes are not that high.

This is just poor math on your part.

You'll run out of things to train at good value in no time.

Here is my version of the C build.. 3 levels further down the road.

This got me thinking ...

I had a C once on target for this at level 40, it even had 10 line general at level 29.

It was retired for being awful. A proper C will have Str + Blk much higher than this.

Exactly. When you've hit your mid-50s, what are you going to train? Where are you going to put your SPs? Even if you double-cap vision/stamina/confidence and triple-cap speed (which is arguably a waste for two of those attributes), you're not going to get good build value, any way you slice it. And you're going to get killed, especially against 3-4 NTs at the point of attack.

You've leveled the playing field for opposing linemen with your build. One of the great advantages of the pre-archetype Cs is that if properly built, they always have a strength advantage over DTs and NTs. But you;ve made it possible for decently built NTs (and even some DTs) to have MORE strength than you. This will not end well.
