You guys don't know me as I started int the Canadian league as an agent then moved up through Western Europe. But in my opinion this is getting way to complicated. Personally if you have a decent owner, your player will be as good as you build him to be. A good team has to have it's players get all the EQ possible, they may not get it as quick as they want it but they will get it. As far as complaints with the game, I may have had problems in the past about what was a major attribute in a player and what wasn't. But overall, it used to be well built players with a good game planning and a good ai won games. Now there are many other factors, how much a guy is getting paid will effect his morale which will effect his play, (how do you think that is going to play out amongst agents. It used to be that an agent just wanted to be signed and get his eq, his salary really did not matter. Now they are going to be fighting for higher salaries with only so much to go around). Then add Coaches, bonuses... on and on.
Myself, my DC and a couple of agents had a plan to build a team. We knew it would be rough this season (maybe not as rough as it has turned out). But basically we wanted to have our team in a pro league by season 17. We then thought we would have the right players in place and rotating in to make a run at a pro league championship and possibly a world league championship within about a 5-6 season window. The basis of our plan was superior built players. This has worked for us pretty well until this season. We took a big hit with the new stamina and morale change that makes them more of a factor. We had built our players based on what had been effective in the past and had not trained enough confidence into our players YET. Okay, we start to make an adjustment, harder to do for the players that are farther along in their training but doable.
Now they add all of these other factors. I have spent over $1,000 building players for our team goal. I have spent literally hundreds of hours game planning over the seasons. But with all of these new factors in the game, I am probably going to just write all of that off and quit. It pisses me off that there seems to be no consideration for the teams that were built on the facts they had at the time. To win in this league, you have to plan. You can only plan on what is, not what might be. It may be different if they were not such BIG changes or were phased in over time, but this is happening all at once and it is just too bad for the guy who did spend all of that money and time and how these changed effects him and his team negatively. Unless my DC and agents throw a guilt trip on me for wanting to quit, I am done!
