I don't like that I'm HC for 2 teams in the same conference.. we tried to switch but it didn't work out. I'm not going to abandon a team if I helped them get to Gold though.. can't do it. This all could be worked out if the Support staff thought it was a big deal.. but they don't. They also don't care if you plan on being in Gold with a CPU roster....lol

I didn't do any Offense for the Goats last season so HC is probably not the right title... it is for Tombstone since I work with the owners on O and D.

I plan on being a HC for Crackertown in the playoffs though.. only if they play Short Bus.. I want to cause Lord Evil the same anguish he's caused me the last 2 seasons by hiring a new DC (Gerr) in the playoffs of season 13 and then assigning Thunder66 HC rights before the championship game last season.

It is all about the Benjamin's. I have seen a guy play with over 25 Multi's and get away with until he got reported, that could of gone on for 3-4 seasons before hand.

I agree with ya Gerr as Vreck said, "in principal as well"

i think i saw that guy, lol......he had like 25 numbered accounts and he bought casual teams and ended up in the same league as himself......
pretty sure hes part of the reason for the flex change for team purchases

Yep, he did bring me on as the DC in S13's playoffs. However, my defensive system is based on a 4-3 and he had the staff for a 3-4, so the implementation of it didn't go that well as there was no time to work out the bugs. We barley won the conference final against IA, and the championship game against the Crabs wasn't as close as it should have been...oh well.

But he did return the favor and became the OC of my Bears team in the playoffs against Final Thought in the conference finals and then against D-Tit in the championship game. Both teams barked, but it was a moot point as my defense kept them to a really low score.

And don't get me wrong, none of the people I named are bad or evil because of this, quite the opposite in fact. It's only that I think it gives some teams an unfair advantage and thus shouldn't be allowed or at least restricted some how.

My idea is to limit a person's ownership/coaching/GM status to ONLY one Gold team. They can be on as many Silver and Copper teams as they want, but only one Gold team. What this does is makes a team earn their keep in Gold and not just hire another Gold coach to run part or all of their team.
.

So does this mean that you will resign as DC of the West Side Bloods if they make it to Gold this season?

I'm thinking of inviting mccollums to run the offense for ACS so he can be involved with 3 teams in the west. LOL

Yes I would. However, I am not on any team as a pure DC. I am on those teams as a Teacher of my defensive system. I spend the 1st season acting as the only DC while the person who will take over learns my system and asks questions. The 2nd season, pending there is one, the new DC takes over and I just stay on as an adviser. I leave before the 3rd season starts.

My goal isn't to DC for a team, but to teach one or more coaches on that team how to be a good DC, which increases the talent pool. While I never give them my whole Gold defense, I give them the core and they can expand it as they see fit. It wouldn't surprise me if someone who I trained used my core and developed a better system off of it than I have on my Gold team.

I am against the 'conflict of interest', and it is true that the only resistance to this 'imbreeding' that you guys do, comes from your side of the fence, whether it be som1 that is desperate not to lose you, or you're som1 that loves to whore around and doesn't want that to change ...but expanding this talent pool idea does seem like somthing that we should encourage more and not be so defensive of

P.S.btw I'm still looking for an OC and scouts if anyone is still interested

Wow Gerr, you are looking way too far into this bro! Maybe you should concentrate on your OAI right now and learn how to win in Gold without boosting to get an unfair advantage?!?! j/k, had to take a shot at you!

NOPW - Owner & OC
TIA - Recruiter, that's just a title. I don't do anything for this team, let alone recruit. The offense is based off of 1 agent! I've known Bio since Season 8 & helped him in the beginning, but no responsibilities on the team.
WVWP - OC...I OCed for them in their first season in Copper. Turned it over to Ping the following season. They haven't changed my title since.
GA - GM...Lolgm spot. I'm lucky I'm even on this team!
LSM - GM...Lolgm spot. First season I'm on LSM team.

Seriously though, I do nothing for the other teams and will gladly drop them if that makes you happy.

I think an example is needed on how this could be abused. Say I face Ping's WVWP team and he figures out how to beat me. Because he is associated with the NOPW, he shares that info with them and they now know how to beat me. Then No Fear shares that info with GA if I ever face them in a Tourney, and they now know. Thus one person who figured out a good way to beat me sends that info out to multiple teams who might have not figured it out. That's what bothers me.

First of all this is pretty ludicrous and doesn't happen, but even if it would this is a bad example because
1) If a team figures out how to beat you, ANY other team can watch the film and see how they beat you. Granted it takes a bit more work, but you can easily figure out anything another coach could tell you.
2) If a team figures out how to beat you and you haven't fixed those holes then you're an idiot and deserve to lose.

Plus I don't see how playing against the same GM gives them an advantage by seeing you twice. You also see them twice. If you figure out how to beat a GM don't you also get an advantage when you play their other team?
