ICB is gonna be nasty once they get the chemistry worked out. They weren't 1st in the league in effective level last season and the only thing they were missing were any losses. That is a well run program.

I don't think it's going to matter. I would be surprised if it's anyone but D9 versus Clash for the 'ship.

Totally agree. I don't think the new teams are in the same class as the top guys in this league. As ICB, I think any of us would be happy with getting in the playoffs. There is a lot to learn from how to succeed in this league to wow to manage team chemistry at this level with this many guys nearing/at retirement. Staying in pro for any length of time requires a different level of team management. I know several of the promoted teams have the talent in the management to pull it off but the will to do it season on season is another thing.

Summary: I totally agree with your post. None of the new teams will have any impact on the later playoff games.

I'm not even saying the new teams. I just think those two teams could be too much for everyone else. Much like WWR and D9 were too much for pretty much everyone in Lion last season.

Hard to argue with D9 vs. Clash .. D9 was tough last year and will be dominant this year.. and Clash with their combo roster will be tough to compete with... but I don't think anybody is willing to just hand either of them a trophy.. especially Clash.. you guys know that any trophies in Elephant must be earned on the digital field!!

All I can say is that, since we so overwhelmingly handed Clash their asses last ssn, I don't think any change they could have possibly made could be anywhere near enough to make up the tremendously huge gorge of the talent gap that so obviously was the case between D9 and Clash last ssn. so, I don't pretend to know if D9 will make it to the Champ game (though I hope like hell we do, since ssn 16 looks to be much tougher here). However, if we do make it and Clash does as well, I think the result of the game is already a foregone conclusion.

Honestly, Ele looks like a hell of a dog fight again this ssn and there are a couple Lion teams that make me a bit nervous too.
