This is true, but we usually win more games in 1 season than you do in 2....Silly boy, I can certainly make you look the fool all day long, but you have a talent in doing it to yourself! It must suck to know that all I need to do is say King, I'll OC your team and you would be an afterthought!

This is true, but we usually win more games in 1 season than you do in 2....Silly boy, I can certainly make you look the fool all day long, but you have a talent in doing it to yourself! It must suck to know that all I need to do is say King, I'll OC your team and you would be an afterthought!

I understand RJ. When Seychelles got promoted, it was because we went 20-0 in AA and 19-1 in AAA and won a nice gold trophy both times. We didn't want to get moved up if we didn't make it to the 'ship. When KNR and DD promoted in Season 6, we were glad we didn't get moved up like a few of the other teams(Tuscaloosa Bulls being one of them). Instead, we wanted to come back and win another gold trophy and earn our way. And that's just what we did. We ended up coming into Pro with people already knowing we were good. We still got told we had to earn our way, but that's just how it is. You earn your place in Pro.

I actually prefer to win up myself. Between the 2 teams I've owned, I've climbed from AA twice and only once moved up without a Gold trophy...Ssn 11 was the one time we were just bumped up for going 16-0 in reg ssn, but losing in the 2nd round. I know it's typically in the best interest of the team not to promote, and I want to earn up as much as anybody, but I just can't see turning down better competition, either. I guess I'd rather go 4-12 in a tougher league, but have to scratch and claw for those 4 Ws than stay in an easier league. Sure, I'd MUCH rather win up to do it, but I'm not going to turn down the chance to play against top teams, either.
Personally, I think Bort should just force every non-gut team to promote. If the top team guts, you force the next in line. So long as there's a choice, teams will opt out and others will give them shit for doing it. The only issue I have with it is that it hurts the game.

This does not seem better to me. Being favored and losing is worse than just losing.

What people fail to realize is that as much as I like everybody here, outside opinions are of little meaning to me, especially coming from teams that are relatively new to the league. Being favored and losing sucks more than anything, but that has only happened once for us when Dakar beat us a few seasons back and they were and are a damn good team. Other than that, although our regular season records are always good, we have lost to DD twice where in both cases they were much better than us. People can have their opinions and I respect that, but I have said since season 3 that I always want to win a title before moving up to the next level. PP, I agree 100% that there should be no option, force teams to go and deal with it. But, don't give an option and bitch and moan when people use it!
As far as game planning, I do my homework before each and every game in this league, unlike others who do nothing until the playoffs. I guess I could not game plan for 16 game plans and then show up in the playoffs, but that isn't why I play this game...
