Actually my strength of schedule is like so, you get 3 pts for a great win like Deep South over Short Bus or Short Bus over Georgia.
You get 2 pts for beating a mid range team like Chicago beating Lone Star so they get 2 points.
Any win gets a point
Then record comes first in my program, yeah I can change that but I think wins are more important.
It then compares the teams in groups of records.
Take the next 3 teams
Tombstone Outlaws 9 1 0
Fighting Gamecocks 9 1 0
Georgia Assault 9 1 0
It selects the team that has allowed the lowest scoring, and scored the most points, also checking the strength of schedule and roster level. It then picks the team that has the better stats for each category.
Tombstone has only allowed 3 pts a game compared to Gamecocks and Georgia both giving up 8. Then it looks at offense, again Tombstone scored 72 on avg, to Gamecocks 58 and Georgias 45. So now it looks at Strength of schedule. Tombstone has 13 to Gamecocks and Georgias 14 but that still isnt enough to overcome the offense and defensive stats. Tombstone outlevels both FG and Georgia 427 - 379 and 427-382 which the greatest gap is 48 levels which is 16 players. I don't penalize a team until after 22 players. I wish I could figure out a way to add in head to head match ups but I can't right now.
