I would have liked to have kept the Hippies around. I unfortunately ran out of time to manage a team at the level required to remain competitive in gold. I suspect that's a pretty common theme with most of the teams that don't exist anymore.

I've contemplated bringing them back sometime now that real football season is over. I've also thought about just jumping back in and helping coordinate a current gold team/build a couple players each year, and save myself the hassle of ownership

That can't be true, I was under the impression you had a waiting list. A line so long it goes around the building!

True but I always make a few players and gladly give those spots up to new agents. I do make back ups as I do make cuts in the first 8 days.

We are a 50-50 shot to be off that list @ the conclusion of this season. We will be back the "Old Fashion" way. With a .gif to shine.


If any gold team slacks, expect a court ordered demotion through the express lane. You will get stepped on sooner or later.

no, it's why we lasted 3 seasons before we quit trying.

I could've just set my D and changed my O to 100% Inside runs and we'd still be here.

I don't really care for the sim this year. A lot of the stuff I was banking on working the same as last year didn't pan out (remember how DTs with lots of agility used to be able to get pressure on the QB? Not in this sim!), so I guess we will see if I'm going to be able to hang on in Gold again.

Wrong season. This would have worked the season before that, but last season you needed to pass the ball a bit more.

Maybe make it to the Playoffs this way with ball control, time of possession offense. (only if you had top 10 defense)
If your Defense is meek. You'd be weak. And be lucky to bust 100 yards total offense.

Agreed. My West Texas team went 13-3 last season and starting about game 6-7, we did ONLY inside rushes except last 2 minutes and when down late. Otherwise, it was all I and Pro-Set formation inside rushes. We lost to a now Gold team in Dyselix Tedd, but I'm still surprised no one shut us out. And this season, we've controlled the ball for about 40-45 minutes average, so it's not easy to score without the ball.
