Because if there were no SSB teams, and Bort consolidated leagues to eliminate CPUs and gut jobs, then the trophies WOULD mean something.

When people see something that cheapens/devalues the leagues and is bad for competition, they get upset and vocal about it.

Again, it doesn't matter to me. I play with the goal of my players reaching World League. Wins along the way are nice, but nothing I personally lose sleep over.

What about the teams that everyone boosts on? That's not fair to the teams that don't boost.

Maybe bort can make 2 new leauges (boosters and non-boosters) and than, when you find something else that isn't fair in your opinion, you can complain about that and bort can make another sub-league to take care of that, and another and another until only your team is in a league all by itself.

pjsebas, just stop posting and shut up. Everyone else thinks that you're a low-life, and that your comical inadequacy is a detriment to the league. You super slow-built because you're such a complete loser that you didn't think you could win any other way. It's like some teenage clown who can't cut it in high school going to play basketball against elementary school kids. We obviously can't stop you from doing it, but at least have the courtesy to keep your mouth shut and not remind any of us that you even exist. Then take your trophy and get out.

I don't think Bort is making plans to segregate boosters and nonboosters, but he definitely has plans for teams like yours (effective levels). Will be a shame when your outleveled by 10-15 levels and unable to win games because of lack of VAs. I might actually lose some sleep (probably not though).

Hmmmm. So pjsebas runs the script and posts the rankings because everyone else is too lazy to do it (not to mention that this forum is dead as hell). Then someone starts going on a rant (unprovoked mind you) about how the team is so much better and uses bullshit tactics, so he responds and gets bombarded. No wonder all the boards are dead these days. Even if you do something as simple as post rankings (which a lot of forums do), you get ridiculed by whiny little bitches who have nothing better to do but complain when things don't go their way. It's rediculous that you take this game that seriously. Get a fucking life. It's the same story every season. People have to complain to make themselves feel better.

I'd just like to know what he said to provoke the attack. Not like he went on the boards and starting talking all kinds of shit about your teams.

And if you look, you'd see that he owns a team that worked its way up to the Pro Leagues. So your little comment about him not being able to win any other way doesn't hold any sort of water at all.

I have a bunch of SSB players on the team in this league and I'm enjoying it. I paid my dues and had them sit on the sidelines for 4 seasons. I don't have any plans on spending money to boost them and for them to go to the Pros. I know they won't make it to the Pros and that doesn't bother me. Everyone thinks that there's one way to play this game and that's it. That if you don't follow that way, you're a piece a shit. That's the beauty of this game, there are numerous ways to play it. There's not one correct way to play. If there was, Bort would make it so that everybody had to play the same way. If that day ever comes, I'll stop playing GLB as it will no longer be fun for me. But, I'm sure you'll throw your poopy pants on again and find something else to complain about.

Look around. See that new thing called "effective levels?" The purpose of this new method of ranking teams is due to SSB teams and the move to place them in level appropriate leagues. Once that happens (probably next season), SSB teams are screwed. The SSBs will be playing against higher level competition that not only have the same skill point value, but will also have veteran abilities.

SSB is bad for the game. PERIOD. No gameplanning or tactic adjustments are required. It's adults beating up on kids.

Bort knows it and is addressing it. If you are planning on leaving when SSB goes away, you should start looking now. Maybe you can SSB with QuickHit.

Enjoy the cheap trophy. There probably won't be another one coming.

LOL, SSB is the biggest joke in GLB. I hope my squad can win this league but if we don't it doesn't matter much as long as the team keeps focused to peak at the pro level. Anyone building to win at any level other than pro is a waste of time.
Seriously, some of you are taking a level 22 cap way too personal.

And some of you all are way to caught up with ratings......so there is a 57 rated team, deal with it. Have way better tactics or get your ass kicked, but dont cry about it.

Did you take the time to look at my trophies or my own team? They are in the pros and did win a league championship in AA and two conference championships in AA and A. They never had SSB players on the roster. Same with the Pygmy's and South Bend.

I don't know about everyone else, but I don't have the money to boost 20+ players 3 levels each season. I also don't see the point in it anymore. To be competitive in the Pros your players have to be around lvl 60-70. How long does it take to reach that if you boost every season, 6, 7, maybe 8 seasons? So then you get high enough to get on a pro roster and what happens if the team your on sucks or Bort nerfs something and your build is no good anymore? Looks like you just wasted a year or more and a ton of money. Not to mention that your skills start to diminish and the time you spend in the Pros is less than the time you spent in the minors.

Or, lets say you own your own team in the Pros and Bort decides that he is going to put in a new player archetype system which will make the new players builds better than certain existing players. A lot of people are going to retire their existing mid-level and lower level players and make new ones. Now there is going to be a huge gap in player levels and all these teams will need to drop down into the minors to field new teams when their older guys have to retire and will have to start all over to work their way back into the pros. Plus, a lot of those owners will go CPU and now you have a bunch of leagues with only one or two really good teams, a few ok teams and the rest are CPU or crap owners with no AI skills. Sounds like fun to me.

Understood for the most part, the money can be a bitch. But personally, I would rather take my chances and try and win against real competition. It does get frustrating, I had 2 number 1 seeds that lost early in AAA playoffs...one because of a nerf. But still, it means more against real competition which is why we are building to head back there. I never did an SSB like you, but did sit players for a season SB once and dominated the early leagues. Got MVP's out of it but no satisfaction.
