Game #2
Well, I went 2-2 on my game #1 predictions, (and I thought the Colts were going to beat the Saints) hopefully, I will do better this time.

1. Moscow Musketeers v TB Tarheels. Tarheels get the nod in a pretty good matchup. What exactly is a Tarheel anyway? Anyone know the source of that mascot, or is it some NC thing that none of the rest of the country understands?

2. Hamburg Kraken v Dublin Fighting Irish. I think the Irish will need to drink some Guiness after this game to numb their 0-2 start.

3. Atlantis Stormriders v Falls City Beavers. Should be a pretty close game, but I like the Beavers in a mild upset. Although, the Stormriders have the much cooler avatar.

4. Coronado Boltz v Damn Dawgs. Gotta go with the Boltz in this match-up. The Dawgs have the higher level players, but I think the Boltz will be up for the challenge.

5. Chile Dogs v Blood Leopards. Two 0-1 teams go at it to avoid going 0-2. I can't imagine the Blood Leopards losing this one. Look for the big cats to take a bite out of the little dogs.

A Tarheel is two things: 1) an annoying fan. and 2) it comes from the tar beaches found on the NC coast, and when you walk in the tar/sand of the beaches, you get tar-feet, or tarheels. It's actually a pretty nice place for a vacation.

If your prediction holds true, I think we'll join the Irish with the Guiness, but only to celebrate our 2-0 start.

I agree here, although it's hard for me to since I like Atlantis's blockers more...TOP wins the game for the Beavers.

We had the Boltz in our league last season, and while we barely beat them in a scrimmage last season, I think most teams will have a tough time beating them as well.

5. Chile Dogs v Blood Leopards. Two 0-1 teams go at it to avoid going 0-2. I can't imagine the Blood Leopards losing this one. Look for the big cats to take a bite out of the little dogs.
You can't win if you can't protect the QB, so the Blood Leopards will roll in my opinion.

Good post here. I agree with all 5 of your predictions, although I am proud to say that I predicted a Saints victory 27-17 in the Super Bowl (actual: 31-17).

4 of 5 is terrible.

And I had my worries about the Beavers, but still, didn't expect that blowout.

Btw, like I said earlier, Chile Dogs need to learn to protect the QB before they are going to win a lot.

Okay, so I am 6-3 on the season. Here are my game 3 predictions:

Game 1:
Duluth Eskimos (2-0) -- (a very under-rated and over-looked team in my opinion) vs the Blood Leopards (1-1). I gotta go with the Blood Leopards, are there really any Eskimos in Duluth? -- I don't think so.

Game 2:
Coronade Boltz (2-0) vs Falls City Beavers (1-1). I like the Beavs to make a come back and "ground" (get-it??) the Boltz in this match-up. Sorry, bad electrical joke...

Game 3:
Blackrock Reapers (2-0) vs Kingston Cobras (1-1). The Cobras have met their Riki-Tiki-Tavi in this game and get an escort to 1-2.

And finally -- The big game of the week!!!
Game 4:
KC Double Deuce (2-0) vs the Brussels Buckeyes (2-0). Wow, the Buckeyes will have played in probably two of the best 3 games of the entire regular season in the first 3 games (game 1 vs the Blood Leopards the other)!! I like both teams, but I have to go with my game 1 prediction, in that, the best team in this league is the Buckeyes. What is a Buckeye? Are there any in Brussels?
And for the record, when I think of Double D's, it is not a picture of bull horns... -- just saying.

I like the Leopards defense in this game...Duluth will try and throw, but the Leopards will win the day behind their aerial attack and defense.

Bad joke, bad, bad, bad joke. Anyways...I think Boltz QB Joe Frady "shocks" the Beavers in an old-fashioned running game blowout.

I see the Buckeyes rolling with more than 300 yds rushing against the Deuce..pretty impressive for just a buckeye nut...
