What's the line between "merger" and "successful recruiting", anyways?

How many seasons in a row did you throw games and run crazy offenses to try to get folks MVP's or manipulate who you played in the first round, etc?

Your behavious in the world league for several seasons has been very poor. You've demonstrated collusion and poor sportsmanship.

So I add '0 Cares' as well.

My team had 6 straight seasons (all 6 seasons of existence) when I had to let go, though not at the Pro level. But tbh, back then, being a Pro team just meant you found the game earlier, not that you deserved to be there for the most part.

That said, still quite an accomplishment, and good luck on the 3-peat!

I have owned a team and had a home playoff game all 10 years of its existence...only 4 of which were pro.

You are confused if you think having a home game below pro is even close to the same thing....the gap between Pro and AAA is huge.

Pretty true actually. The difference in Pro and even AA in season 4 really wasn't that great. Lot of good storied franchises started out in BBB or A and ripped through the ranks while lesser teams that were grandfathered in to Pro or AAA initially fell by the wayside


As far as nowadays goes, i'm guessing halifax has the longest current streak. Maybe minnesota marauders of usapl or another Pro team that never made the jump to WL by losing in playoffs?

Name change. That's it. If you raid the hell out of a team, but keep your name, it's recruiting. When you change the name of the team for them, it's a merger.

Yeah people get pretty mad about the whole merger thing. Makes no sense to me as it is just successful recruiting imo.

I'd take Merger as Very Successful recruiting.
