WL has sucked the life out of the pro leagues and the CPL posters have sucked the life outta the WL forums.

It's not really possible to troll USAPL anymore, because all the teams that give a shit are already up here getting trolled. Only thing left to do down there is make fun of Minnesota for losing with WL talent, and that even gets old because they're nice.

Cause the WL forums would thrive otherwise

The better WL teams would be a joke in the pro leagues. It wouldn't be fun for them or the teams they play. People talk about the WL draining the talent of pro leagues but ignore the fact that it has increased parity. Parity is more important to competition than how well teams stack up to the best.
This pretty much sums it up for me. I prefer the WL to the rankings. Way too much bias involved in the committee doing the rankings and great teams from lesser known regions were "shouted" out by the masses. I'd rather just see the great teams go head to head, than have to compare scrimmage schedules and depend on people to give teams out of their favorite region a fair shake.
lol, the rankings were not biased imo. They were actually quite accurate for the most part.
It's sort of like NFL vs. NCAA. Before, we had more of a NCAA style, now with the WL, we have more of a NFL style. NFL is much more boring tbh.

Meh, not a big difference really. The teams in the shittier Pro leagues who didn't schedule tougher scrimmages weren't ranked high, which was very fair. Now they're forced to play the better teams or decline promotion to WL (APL and Korb). Results are still quite similar from before....except now there's 0 debate, which kills activity.

So the Whores aren't in contention for #1 team in GLB atm?

early rankings were fairly biased as usual...but you can't deny that the rankings were fairly accurate based on the first couple seasons of the WL...
plus we are talking about it as opposed to rankings that are basically looking at the WL standings and reposting them aside from maybe 2-3 spots... >_>
its not even that i liked the rankings themselves...but more so the fun banter in this game...it was great to see constant threads and banter about who the top 25 teams in GLB were...now its more like oh...there is 8 teams in GLB and the rest are really just there...pretty sad...
also...Stobie has done a nice job with the addicts tournament this season...but man...it just doesnt have the same feel anymore...even winning it last season seemed like yay and then alright next season time because the WL takes so much out of that kind of title...
dont get me wrong..i love the competition...just wish it didnt make everything else that was great about this game so obsolete...

that is because a lot of the most vocal best teams in the game get humbled in the WPL, except of course for the Champions.
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS LIKE BEING A TOP TEAM IN THOSE SHITTY REGIONAL LEAGUES 16-0 without gameplanning

I don't know why pro teams are complaining. A lot of those guys in AA and AAA who were forever stuck and could never get to Pro would complain "blah blah blah Pro is only season 1 teams blah blah blah not fair". If there was no WL there would be 32 teams back in Pro leagues not to mention probably another 10 that wouldn't have gutted/merged. So that's 42 current Pro spots that would still be in AAA and all those teams would still be complaining.
The whole WL situation isn't perfect but i don't know what i'd do to improve it and it's good enough i guess. The main thing i don't like is how it encourages so many teams to gut/merge but i guess that's inevitable and may just have been because so many season 1 and 2 guys just retired
