Running seems to be working FINE IMO...Monmouth's had 36 carries for 4.8, 43 for 4.2 and 39 for 4.2. Damn, that is almost realistic

Running game is a bit tougher than last season, likely due to the new VAs. But you can still run the ball, I don't think it's as bad as it seems. Johnny Tsao has 480 yards in 3 games, going over 130 yards each game, so you can still run if you have the builds or know what you are doing.

As far as it been a defensive sim, I don't think so. I think it's still pretty balanced. There are teams struggling to score, yet there are also teams averaging a healthy amount of points per game (MPHD is averaging 64 ppg, Kansas City is averaging 46 ppg, just as couple of examples).

It's preseason, and a lot of teams are just trying out stuff and not really game planning. I'm sure as the season goes along, people will adjust.
