How bout the Steelers?

What's the point of having an athletic 3rd string QB ? Unless you use him in a wildcat package.. which the Steelers don't.... by the time you get to your 3rd string QB, you don't want him running cause of fear of injury...

Dixon did a pretty good job though... but the lack of adjustments by the Steelers lost that game. When it's obvious that Dixon can't drop back and read zone coverages - stop calling drop back passes and get him movin!!!!

Hindsight is 20/20 but Steeler's OC (Bruce Arians) baffles me

This. I was just watching sportscenter and they were talking about how the steelers need to inform players sooner and tell them what their shot at playing is, because it came as a complete shock to him.

^ I agree Naimoli.. he did a great job considering the circumstance....

Arians baffles me... I would've turned Dixon loose in OT though. I can understand not running him much during regulation though...

He would've been a heisman winner at Oregon but he tore his ACL at the end of the season and as a result, lost. He also lead Oregon to a 9-0 record before he got hurt, including a 38-7 romping Michigan and 24-17 win over a powerhouse USC team.

I heard something on SNF that he either played MLB or was drafted to play MLB

It was an entertaining 4th quarter. Sucks to lose on a penalty like that.

Course, if they could have stopped Montreal at all during the second half it wouldn't have come to that.

This. I don't blame the loss on a penalty, I blame the loss on stale playcalling in the 4th quarter. Oh, the Riders are up by two scores in the fourth? Let's throw out 3/4's of the playbook and run it up the gut every time on first down.

Oh the riders are up by one score, but are backed up deep in their own zone with four minutes left? Let's run it up the gut every time on first down.

Oh the riders are up by two points with less than two minutes in the fourth quarter and backed up deep again? Let's hammer it up the middle on first down.

If they would have made 'ONE' first down on offense in their last three possessions, they won the game.

If they would have stopped Montreal "ONCE" and forced a turnover, they won the game.

So to say that they lost the game due to a penalty flag like a lot of people across the ridernation are saying is complete horseshit.

Yep, but I like the Saints

Saints are going down tonight......I feel the Texans fans on the BS PI calls, we got one a couple weeks ago against the colts and then got completely shafted on the ball spot on 4th and 2.....It doesn't surprise me anymore with Polian on the rules commitee that the colts get all the calls.....They won't go undefeated and they won't win the super bowl either......

I need Welker to catch three TDs for my Fantasy Team. I had Young on the bench because I started Big Ben. Oops. I'm up by ten points with Welker still to go, but he's got Brees and Gostkowski.

Noooooo. He was a QB. He was insanely fast. Tore his ACL making a cut on his own.

Couldn't find a video anywhere of the injury, sorry.

LMAO. Coming from a patriots fan, who got screwed over one game in many years. The Jets and many others have gotten screwed over so many times this year. It cost us (Jets) 3 games, including the Buffalo one in OT and the Miami game in NY. Patriots aren't going to stay on top in the East for very long, once Sanchez improves, we'll be beasts. Think about it, the kids a rookie but he can look better than Brady some days.

He was drafted by the Braves and played a little in their Farm system. The stat below is quoted from Peter King's Monday Morning QB article:

Dennis Dixon now has 76 more ABs as a professional baseball player in the Braves system than starts as an NFL QB.
