Not quite sure why it's terrible or why a world league ONLY suggestion would be in the suggestions forum.

I like the owners vote idea, or owners + unbiased outsiders.

Either way, I think it could work and would be much better than a formula.

How about an Offensive MVP and a Defensive MVP? If there's just 1, it's almost always going to go to the offense.

I think it has to be a board of individuals...there are likely 30 owners who couldn't give a crap about the Championship game or who is the MVP. At least if there was a small group of individuals, they could talk it out and come to a rational decision.
