So, what was the final verdict on this? I have the opportunity to get a +1 blocking/+1 AP shirt. (13 level OG) The consensus seems to be that the AP may be okay but it may be just as well to go through skill points. The real bonus is the +2 str. Well, you can do that through skill points, too. So, it would seem to me that it would best to use the points from leveling and temp training boosts to do what this piece of equipment does. No?

sure you can use sp on str too but when your str starts creeping up into the 90's/100's and It costs you around 10 sp to get it up 1 point you will be glad to have that +2 str

I'm at level 13. It'll take me a very long time to get to the 90's with STR. I understand your point and, perhaps at level 40 it's something to consider. But at this point, is it? Should I take my training bonuses to temp boost to get the stats points? Or should I lay out $21K on a piece of equipment that will require 8 bonus points (plus cash) to upgrade? And remember, mine isn't +2 STR, it's +1 to blocking.

Or should I try looking for some better AEQ, even?

at the low levels, particularly if you are slow building I always temp boost for the extra SP, if you have money to burn though you could always buy the piece and hang on to it without upgrading it, then decide down the road if you want to keep it or sell it.

Which is probably what I will do. Well, I won't actually buy it, yet; I might need the cash for something. But as long as I don't do something stupid like refresh the shopping page.

I have it for my LG who usually plays back-up and has to step in more often when there is a super duper NT. That's why I have AP and I would recommend it for LG's who play at or below their levels. If you have a well balanced line, with a Line General C, then screw it.
