Trust me this play has been talked about and looked over exhaustively the past 48 hours or so
Here is how I analyze it, and keep in mind that these exact same two play calls faced each other Q4 @ 4:29 for no yards.
First is the depth chart, the Seahawks put all their WR's in the WR kitty...this can be risky since your best WR's arn't always where you want them -- but you can also get good mis-matches...which is exactly the difference between the play at Q4 @ 4:29 vs. Q4 @ 0:26. The only way to defend against this would be to have a tag triggered play for each of your biggest WR threats, and that ain't gonna happen
Next is what happened during the play, the QB obviously gets the Pump Fake going -- which is vital as it effectively removes the under man coverage leaving the SS to make the stop. Now your receiver does two things, he runs a creative route (not so obvious) and then the obvious...the SS fails his "saving throws" vs. the WR's SA/VA's.
