Yeah, I know, but I was pointing out that our coordinators have been doing a stellar job since GLB began. Daudy asked what would happen when we have to actually gameplan and my response was that we would be solid. I don't base my opinion that we are the best on who we have played, but on how our team's talent level compares to the rest of the league and our gameplanning ability. I have two of the best coordinators in GLB that have put together a career of championship caliber gameplans.

I fail to understand why a team with high 60's and 70 is still in AA. Talking smack on top of that.

How am I talking smack? I am failing to understand why we were put at #10 on this rankings list. That is how the discussion got started. No smack talk at all. We were just brought to AA. We came from an uncapped league. We are working our way up. I am not in control of where we are put. I can only make requests.

Fayetteville is sitting at 3-5 and they are the 3rd best team? Ok I know the rankings weren't done today. But they were 2-4 on the 23rd which is the day the rankings were posted. So out of a total of 32 teams, a team that lost twice as many games as they won is considered the third best? That tells me that your script is flawed. There were not 29 worse teams as of that day.

Strength of schedule is part of it, but maybe it is weighed too heavily in your script. Having a tough schedule and winning most of your games says your team is pretty good. Losing 2/3 of your games means your team is pretty bad regardless of who you play.

Fayetteville, this is not a knock on you. Please don't take it that way. I'm just saying that in these particular rankings you are higher than you should be and that calls into question the rest of the results as well.

Why not run the script again and post the new results? Maybe things have worked themselves out a bit since more games have been played.

You know, if he's using the script I think he's using, it pretty much has one known use!

Here's another thing I question about those rankings:

#2 team- Flathead- #12 offense, #9 defense, strength of schedule 0.333

#6 team- Bangkok- #4 offense, #7 defense, strength of schedule 0.278

#10 team- Charlie- #1 offense, #1 defense, strength of schedule 0.333


So....Flathead has the exact same s.o.s as Charlie, they have an offense that's 11 slots worse, and a defense that's 8 slots worse. So clearly they are overall 8 slots better.

And Bangkok, their offense is worse, their defense is worse, and their strength of schedule is worse. Obviously they are a better team than Charlie too.

Damn man, that makes absolutely no sense. By your script St. Louis is probably the best team in the NFL.

The #offence and #defence are based purely on the league numbers for all to see on the league page.

But as you'd appreciate, obviously Charlie's numbers would be heaps better. Obviously no one has a clue as to what the formula for this script is, but I'd imagine it doesn't just use the three things that it shows. Clearly, like the MVP numbers (which are also a bit screwed up to be honest) 1000 yards against one team isn't the same as 1000 yards against another.


Though, I don't know what's up with the Strength of Schedule stuff. There's no way on earth Charlie have faced tougher or even opponents than Bangkok and Flathead on average.* Maybe it's calculated not by lolbar strength but by something else?

True, Charlie does not have the hardest schedule out there. I never claimed we did. Stat padding aside it kind of sucks to play a bunch of CPU teams. But, we play who GLB put on our schedule. We didn't slip Bort some cash to get into an easy conference. Things will shake out come playoffs time. Until then, anyone that doesn't think Charlie is as good as our numbers indicate, fine. What those of us on Charlie are saying is that there are not 9 teams better than us.

Take out the CPU teams we beat. What's left?

Fayetteville from the vaunted Garuda conference. We beat them 44-3

Angola. They are 6-2. One of those 2 was a 133-0 beating we gave them.

Akita. 5-3. We beat them 41-6

So even if you discount all the other games against less than stellar opponents Charlie has done pretty damn good. Best in the league? I think so. If you do not, no problem. But seriously, 10th best? Put up some logical arguments as to why Charlie sucks so bad. "Naga sucks and you suck too" won't cut it.

My two cents. This week alone, I have three opponents all 60 level, same as us. I dont see anywhere on the other conference, where that type of competition is evident. Yet the lead in that conferences SOS is higher than ours.That doesn't make sense. Therefore, I give little credence to the whole formula.
Everyone is saying Bangkok, yet their are several teams that have the talent to take us out. We were a off-sides penalty away from losing our last game. Lets just play the games and see whats shakes out. All this, might be for moot.

I'm pretty sure if some of the Garuda teams played Angola and Akita they outcomes would be similar. Past some of Angola's starters, they're almost 15-20 player levels behind on average. Akita on the other hand has a much better list, but if they haven't even bothered to put their TEs on the depth chart (one of them is CPU anyway) since the BEGINNING OF THE SEASON then what's that REALLY say about their effort co-ordinating and gameplanning? 41-6 is a great win, but how's that compare to a 77-20 win against a team that not only outranks Akita in lolbars but is 5-3 in GARUDA. You can't really claim defeating teams that are 5-3 in Naga that great a feat.

And no, even if you do thrash Minsk the next game please take some time to compare rosters. Your roster is completely full of mid to high 60s, some mid 50s and two high level 30s (one of which is a backup FB and the other is the punter). Whoops, don't forget the level 49 backup LB. You're pretty much outleveling Minsk by on average almost 20 player levels. In fact, your average player level is higher than quite a few AAA teams and even some Pro teams (with the exception of some USA AA teams). That's okay though, great work recruiting, but the pressure is on you to pretty much win the league as there's only one other team that comes close in average player levels.

And as for Fayetteville, we beat them by one more point than you did. By your logic does that make us most definately better?

I agree Charlie shouldn't be 10th lowest, but don't get to hung up over these rankings anyway. They're known to be seriously volatile especially early on, and I bet if someone ran them today the result would be totally different.
