I don't understand why people don't think we would be a top 2 favorite. Our D is not average first of all. We gave up less the 5 points a game last year. I'm pretty sure that's up in the top 3. I'm not sure if you guys know or not but BBB12 was only 1 level lower on average than A6. There was competition as the Badgers are here and they look to be a top 3 team as well. You guys may need to stop drinking the A6 kool-aid and give us a little respect.
I would say that all of our players have great builds and that goes a long way. Good luck to everyone this year and don't over look us.

Well tomorrow will be an interesting measure from my own perspective - the Wolfpack went 4-12 last season in A#6 while the Badgers had a great season in BBB#12 (15-1? I forget) and as you say look like Top 3 material to you. Bugeaters meanwhile get Aurora who (like Washington) also barely evaded relegation last year, so I'd say you'll need a blowout to justify your confidence that HIB is Top 2 compared to the rest of a league who frequently smacked Aurora around last year. That's not even considering that the league added a couple other promoted teams who show good potential.
I'm sure both BBB#12 teams will do well and compete for the playoffs but to say that you're two of the top three before your first tests in A#6 - where it looks like they scheduled the bottomfeeders against the promoted teams to open the season - is premature. Game 3 will be a better indicator but I'm really looking forward to July 1 to see how you guys stack up against (imo) the class of the league in Horde and LLLL. No offense to Sconnie but from my scouting I'd put both of those teams ahead of the Badgers. Of course now I'm off to try to keep our own game with them to within two TDs!

I'm looking forward to watching the week 5 and week 6 matchup of the Bugeaters and San Diego and then Richey.
I'm not saying your team doesn't look like a contender. But #1 is not where I would rank you.
My vote would go to Richey. I've got them down for 15-1 or better and the #1 seed.

Yea I have week 5 circled on our schedule, I admire his optimism but I believe it is on somewhat baseless terms. I think they will do well here, but I would bet everything I own they dont even make it to the top 2 or 3. They obviously haven't scouted the competition very well. I guesse I would think the same way if my team just went undefeated, i just wouldn't say it. ;o)
Anyway, its gonna be another fun season *duking it out with all the good teams in the league. i definately still have Horde and Rickey slotted for 1 and 2 respectively but the rest is up for grabs.
Good luck to everyone this season, Im glad were finally getting started.

Ya but going undefeated doesn't mean you can't be beat. We went undefeated thru the regular season but there was enough talent in A6 that we lost in the conference championship. There are some very good teams in this league and I don't know if I could say anyone right now is a clear cut #1.

I'm very interested to see the results of the coaches poll this year.
On the earlier topic I think it depends on the team. If we had moved up to AA3 this year no way I would be thinking that we were going to just roll over the teams that are still there. We would have been lucky to make the playoffs.

O5prey, even you must know not everyone has such an accurate sense of reality as you would seem to display on a regular basis. And a great eye for talent ;o) If you were a chick, I'd definately date ya!

Preseason I don't know how anybody could not have the Bugeaters at the top of the Western Conference. At the start of the season they should be the favorites in everygame. There isn't a single team in the west that has better ratings then they do as of now.
