Turns out the old owner paid one player a 3MILL dollar bonus before dumping the team.

Maybe appeal that and see if Bort/Thorn will do something to help you out?

We did already, they hooked us up. Its tough though, players dont tend to want to sign with a 0-16 team you know.

So acquiring the talent to keep up with you guys is nearly impossible.

I thought there was a cap on the amount a player could earn....swear I read that in a forum by a moderator.

Can't help you there. Our team was essentially built at the beginning of last season. While we had a few players who were created midway throughthe first season, most all of our players were built during the first off-season.

We were able to build a solid team @ a personal sacrifice. The owner, myself and another made a lot of the players for the team and boosted them all twice. once for season 1 off season and once for season 2 start of season. that put the roster at mostly level 10's to start.

We were worried a little as the season progressed because other teams brought down some pro-league ringers (while we were level 11 etc, they had some level 16+ people. But when we played them we did remarkably well.

I think any team can be competitive and hopefully you can get yourselves some good players. If not, I would suggest that you fill the holes in with self created players from as many folks on your team presently as can afford to make a few players and boost them twice.. once in this season 2 offseason and once more for season 3 start of season.

That should give you some strength and as you start playing games, hopefully people will see you've turned around and will sign.

same thing happened to my team the Hoplites before I acquired it, except it was 1.5 million.

sucked balls, but we made the best of it with a great season.

Keep pushing - things will turn around.

Its really tough to get FA's when you went 0-16. I had to trade cash for almost all of our players.

it looks like you did a fine job filling out that roster in such a short time.

Thanks for the welcome! I gotta admit that I was pissed last week and felt nervous about the fact that I had a team made up entirely of CPU players in our conference, which is very tough. But after a week of contract negotiations and fielding different trade offers, I feel a little better. I would like to thank my GM, MBBedard and my staff for helping me build a team from scratch and building a pretty decent team. Sure, I'm going to lose many games, but I feel that we have improved a lot from the team that got owned last year. I am confident that the Waterloo WarZone will crush the horrible records from last season. LOL

Actually, our team is called the Waterloo WarZone...the Zone part of it is because it's a group of us from BillsZone that run the team and we have a lot of Bills Zone posters on our team. But I am a TBDer too, Mike32282. Who would you be?
