So it is your owner's fault for guilting Bort into pretty much giving you the Africa AA #1 championship.

Well, hey, enjoy the championship.

You guys are pretty off-base. I'm also a player on the team and going back for over a month our owner has been in discussions with Bort about the move, and it was always going to be Africa Pro.

Bort is a busy guy and screwed up, so this was the best he could do. Most of us owners were excited about being in the Pro leagues, not AA, so we're not exactly thrilled with the prospect either. I've still suggested we try to get a Pro or AAA team to swap places with us.

So then why accept the move at all? If you guys weren't thrilled to it, you could have turned it down and waited in your AAA league, where you were definitely competitive, and tried to get a move to Pro from there. Instead, you guys chose to accept the move to AA. Would have been simple to say "We don't want to move if we can't get in Africa Pro".

Though, hey, you'll be there in 2 years.

This is the one thing I cannot answer and I have asked our owner to come in to speak on it. Were we given a chance to accept or not accept the move. If we were and we accepted, then by all means piss on us for that.

Speaking for myself, I did not know this was going to happen and I would have preferred to stay in our AAA league if anything.

I'm more upset with your owner than anything. If you guys indeed had no chance to accept the move, this is just a horrible situation all around. As it seems, though, this all just seems really fishy.

And that's one season wasted for all the other teams, where they know thye won't really have a shot at the championship with someone that belongs higher up dominating the league. I don't know about the rest of the teams, but I was looking forward to a league full of level 10ish average people with a few 13-14 players mixed in for some competitive games.

Based on what he's said in our team forum I owner had no idea this was going to happen either.

Then it sounds like a really crappy situation all around.

I feel ya bro, for real. Hopefully something can be done. Our players are higher leveled so we need larger contracts to pay for training/equipment. Playing in the AA means less pay, so we don't gain too much either from being in here.

You really don't make much less in a lower level league, for what its worth. I was able to charge just as much for my tickets in Oceania A as people in higher up leagues. And it does provide you a benefit here -- 16-0 = maxed fan support in one year = ability to charge much higher prices.

Hopefully your owner can work with admins to get this fixed.

Have you seen the teams in Africa Pro right now?

Most of them are recruiting level 10's. Theres a good chance you would go 16-0 there, so fuck I don't want you up here either.

WHY DID YOU MOVE IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN YOU WERE A PLAYOFF TEAM IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE.

I dont understand why it was allowed in the first place too.

And chemistry maxed out christ.

I really don't get it. This whole area is expansion, pro, AAA and AA. There are Pro and AAA that have very low per player averages and some that appear to have embraced the CPU. Get the Admins to you swap you up to pro and just move down the worst team there (on paper). You guys will win the title wherever they put you anyway.

Its fucking retarded.

No matter where in Africa they go, they are going to be hated and complained about the entire season. If they ended up in pro, they would dominate. AAA, they would dominate.

Why would you want to move in the first place?

If your owner isn't an absolute idiot he would know he's capable of dominating every team in this section. Is going 16-0 in blowout games all year with no skill involved funner than actually competing in a fucking league you should be in. It doesn't make sense.

And dont send their shit to Pro, let me win two seasons before they move up and crush us.

Get the admins to put you back in South America AAA where you belong. You were a playoff team in a two-year-old AAA league, for chrissakes, it's insane to put you anywhere near Africa.

OK guys - i'm the owner of the Alexandria Assassins - there's nobody here who's as qualified as me to speak as to what went down. (with the exception of Bort, and i'd be surprised if he popped his head into this thread)

I've been in touch with Bort since the middle of season one about buying a team in Africa. At the time, it was planned that the Africa expansion would take place prior to season 2, and i very much wanted to get a team in Africa, even then.

I got in contact with Bort, and he agreed to give me a team in Africa - Africa Pro, to be specific. He was even willing to reserve an Africa Pro team for me, at a time when there was no team wait list - based on some arguments i made to him at the time, i was able to convince him. At the time, the team was to be named the Tanzania Tramplers

Then, when it came closer to the season 2 expansion, and it became clear that the majority of the new teams would be USA teams, and there would be no new African league, i purchased a team in South America AAA. At the time, i got in touch with Bort, and again he said that when Africa was added, we'd get our tickets punched to Africa Pro. We talked about this again approximately 2 weeks ago, and he said that it would not be a problem to get to Africa Pro.

This morning, I log in and see that the African leagues are nearly full, including the entirety of the Pro league... I sent Bort a PM, asking if he forgot us. He responded, very apologetically, and said he did. He said the best he could do is put us in AA.

I asked him to make it right, because he had promised me an Africa Pro team. But he said he was unwilling to take a team from an owner that had already been assigned a team in Africa Pro.

Honestly, i'm scared as hell that the revenue that we earn in this league isn't going to be enough to pay the Assasssin's salary.

So we're as stuck in this situation as you are.

Don't be too aghast though. my team ISN'T insanely high leveled. We're good, we're not unbeatable. Working to beat the Assassins is going to make the rest of this league better.

One year ago, when I purchased a team in South America AAA, I was in a situation where 14 of the 16 teams in my conference had a year experience - the same amount the Assassins have right now. It was very daunting to look at that league and wonder how we would compete. I honestly thought we might not be able to compete until we got to our permanent home in Africa.

In South America AAA, Season 2, our first year in existence, we finished in sixth place out of the sixteen teams.

You're in a better situation today than the Assassins were last year. At least you only have one team like the Assassins to compete with.

I still expect us to win the championship this year, but I don't expect us to blow everyone away every game. This is going to be a good league, and you're going to make it a good league. In Season 4, when the Assassins are hopefully long gone to Africa AAA, this league - YOUR TEAM INCLUDED - will be better because we were here.

If you have any questions, please shoot me a PM - i'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
