Chances of that are good, not that we've beaten any zeta playoff contenders... yet. Unless you count ourselves, but that's always with outside assistance.

yeah, BDR is starting their roster transformation now. You guys have always been really tough to play so good luck to you.

Olden, good luck in your slow build. If you need any players made, hit me up.

A classy team, always hit you with everything they got.
I'd ask to fight the good fight until the end of the season; Tonga did that a few seasons ago.
But I hate to see the good teams die.

Damn, sad to see a team go, especially after we lost to them. I saw all your guys on the trading block this afternoon as I was looking for a HB. We might be interested in taking Rickey Watters off your hands. Ours has been inactive since late last season and it's really jamming us up. He'd get to stay in the league and hopefully fight for that 8th playoff spot. With you guys gutting it is going to make it interesting because we were counting on you to lose some games, but also win some as well for us to sneak in. Of course, we need to take care of business and improve upon our horrible start.

Well, I guess now half the league will be given a guaranteed win

Sorry, Olden, not wanting to bag on you. I sold an OPRO team once (although I waited until the end of the season) so I'm sympathetic to the struggles, but rebuilding isn't going to be the panacea you think it is. You will NEVER get back to the Pro level, and that's a sad reality.

Guess what? I have been in the Pros a long time. Got here fairly quickly. Won't be back my ass. If I stay with this game I will be back, fairly quickly and will enjoy kicking you ass!!!!!!!!! Meet me in person and the ass kicking can go on sooner!!!!!!!

Nothing against y'all at all (love the tough guy "meet me in person" schtick, though.), just that I am on several slow build teams that after 3-4 seasons are still stuck in the cloud despite being successful the last 2-3 years. It will take 6-7 seasons before you even reach a league pyramid, and after that you've got to battle through 3 league promotions against what will be other slow build teams . . . Best case is reaching PRO by season 10 of your build process.

Given the rapidity of promotion, I think 6-7 seasons is very doable. But you'll be a doormat when you get here.

Realistically, individual slowbuild teams aren't going to cut it in pro by that time. It'll be the groups that have created multiple slow build teams about 2 seasons apart so they can continually cycle in elite replacements for aging players when that time comes. Of course, running that kind of system sounds incredibly boring and expensive, but hey, winning an overpriced unfinished online game you never actually play is worth whatever it takes.

Guys just giving everyone heads up. I am tired of beating my head against the wall. No doubt we would make playoffs but just can't seem to get where we can beat the top teams. Not satisfied being middle of the pack.

Plan to sell all players for max cash and go slow build with "Underage Swillers" and relax a couple of seasons and come back strong. BTW, when is best day to build slow build little guys? Anyone interested in building a player for the team let me know and what positions

Been fun knowing and competing with most of you. GL to all.

Near the end of the season day 31.

Wish you could have finished out the season - your move will most likely screw over some teams fighting for the playoffs....for what a measly $50 million?

In 3 season's slowbuilding you'll have a $100 mil. in the war chest and still be floating around.

Thank you . . . and for putting everything in perspective there at the end.

To do that, you'd have to win your league every single season.

Start at Cap 13
Cap 24 second season
Cap 34 third season
Uncapped fourth season
AA fifth season
AAA sixth season
Pro seventh season

You're going to lose at least one of those seasons and not promote because your lower levels will catch up with you. So a realistic time frame for a well done team is 9ish seasons, though 10-11 is more likely.

No, you'd have to promote every season, which is especially easy in low levels. and that's assuming your team dropped all the way to 13, not 24.

It is easy to promote in 13 and 24 caps, sure. But when you're up in a 34 cap or uncapped, you're going to have a hard time promoting immediately upon getting there. AA and AAA are even harder to promote instantly in. VERY few teams can do it. And the teams that have done it had a hard time when they got to the pro level (much like you said). The Florida Frenzy are the most recent memory -- they had a solid showing their first season up here, but were far from the dominant force they were in A/AA/AAA (where they lost all of one game in those 3 seasons).

So...Gambler -- I wish you the best of luck in getting back to O Pro and hope that the third generation of Samoa Gangsters will get to play against the Swillers at some point
