No it wasnt. It was somewhat quiet because it was the off season, but it wasnt dead. Go back and look. For the first day or two there were other threads and people posting before the Laser Cat takeover. Why do you think the other forum was created in the first place? If nobody was talking, there wouldnt have been a need for the other forum. They just got tired of the spam. Its used every day, still.

I even remember when we came into this league, this particular forum had over 100 less threads than the other SEA forums BEFORE WE GOT HERE.
And guess what? We stopped for awhile, and you know what happened after that? NOTHING.

Ive seen teams do worse spamming . worse to the point of it being personal attacks and just plain obnoxious. Mods were brought in.

Its not dead, the teams that created it moved up to AAA last season, but its still active enough. Greavis does game predictions for all of garudas games, theres new threads and posts every single day (by more than just 1 team like what happened to this forum).

100 less threads does not equal a dead forum imo, just less active which is exactly what I said it was. As for the stopping for a while and nothing happening, theres a reason for it. The other forum had already been created and people were using it as the main SEA A2 forum. Which is why nothing happened here, because it had already moved elsewhere.

Deez is right, this forum was quiet but not dead (it was the off season after all), there were regular posts etc and then the Laser Cats came. Sure some of the shit was funny, but most was annoying and the private forum was created and it is far from dead. A little quieter this season as a lot of the teams moved up that got it going, or went cpu, but there are still more posts in a given day of value than you get here in a month.

What people see now is like the tip of the laser cat iceberg in terms of posts - and they turned into a quality team, but no where near as good as they think they are and that is simple fact, when playing the top 3 in Garuda they are 0-3. I will say this though I really don't want to play them in the play offs as I think they will be a tough team to beat in the post season. I have them as my post season favorite right now - which honestly pains me to say.

And from what I heard, nothing was going on in the private forum at all during that time either, so don't even bring that up.

Go back a few pages, theres some threads that are like 10+ pages long of 1 word posts.. They claimed they wanted to "liven up the forum", but it just irritated most of the rest of the league. I believe it was the Jambi guys that started the other forum for the people that didnt want to sort through 10 pages of 1 word posts to find an answer to a question or whatever. At the time, it was my understanding that they invited every owner in the league except the laser cats and gave all the owners the ability to add people to the forum.

After the other forum was created and the majority of the people used only that forum is when the cats settled down their ways (which probably would have happened anyway, I think they just did all the spamming just to get their name recognized by everybody in the league, even though they had a rough first season). They dont do anything like when they first got into this league. Even now with the goofy power rankings, is nothing like what they did when they first came in.

Truth be told I think most the people in the other forum only still use it instead of this just out of habit now. I dont think theres any owners in the league now that have the same issues with the cats as they did when the cats first came into the league.
