Bart Oates solidified a line by basically playing every single play of every single game of one of the leagues best rushing attacks (2 running backs in the top 5 for the conference in yards) and played in 2 fewer games

Everyone is really just taking the #1 player off of the leaderboards. Of course some of those players are good, but when you have teams in the league which don't stand chances against the teams those players are on their stats will be boosted. Someone should really go into plays and statistics and choose, instead of just looking at leaderboards.

I did my research and chose my picks. While some of the guys I chose were the league leaders in certain statistics, they were the best players (imo) for the position.

The best (or at least most interesting way) to do these would to be to allow anyone in the conference to vote - the caveat would be you can't vote for anyone on your own team.

Of course there are problems with this too, namely uneven participation and whatnot - but I think it would be neat if there was some sort of voting functionality within glb.

I think this is a good idea

yea, i figured the most even way to do it would be to let the GM's and Owners of each team do it. Most people will just pick the top performers so the participation doesn't really matter. Maybe we can try something different for next season.

check the way EE AAA #1 is doing it its a great idea. Basically you come up with top players then the owners or players post in the team forum and vote on it. The owner or gm then pms to the person doing the final make up. 1 vote 1 team. Homers can plead a case to be on the list but it stays with one persons final say to who is on the list to vote for.

Its worked out very well and unbiased. We don't know the final tally yet but we know there are 9 unamimous choices for 1st team. Which means every team has voted for the same player.

Also stats arent always the best way to judge who is a all-pro or not for example my FS good but not outstanding numbers but i guarantee i shut my half of the field down just as good as anyone else.
